I got 2K12 late in the season and got 2K13 on release day, so I haven't played much, but I must totally suck at this game. I see people talking about getting double-doubles or triple-doubles in the Rookie Showcase and I'm happy if I get a couple rebounds and a couple assists and a steal or two. I can usually get double digit points, but otherwise I'm not effective on defense.
Even 2/3 into the season, I haven't got a double-double yet. I got 6 assists the other night and that's the most of anything I've got. Had a 30 point game that night too.
And sadly enough, this is on Pro.
Any tips or hints?

How do I make the shoes' colorway to that of my team (Utah Jazz and is signed with Nike) in MyCareer and what's up with the socks being white in away games????Comment

Use pick and roll/pick and fade. Call for the pick and roll, use it, and if the pass is safe toss it to the P&R roll man, if not try creating your own space. And if you're a PG run some set plays or call Isolation for yourself to spread the floor then drive and have your man cut to the basket (left or right on d-pad i forget). Always try looking for your bigman near the basket too, easy assists if he's decent inside. When you drive keep on eye on your teammates at the same time because often the team will come to help guard you. Hell, when I wasn't that good at all, sometimes I'd just let the shot clock run down and give it to a teammate last second and hope he makes it :wink:Comment

I was drafted 15th by the 76ers but was unhappy there since I was getting very limited minutes from the bench behind Jrue Holiday. I think i was averaging about 8-9 mins/per game (9 minute quarters). So I asked the GM for a trade with just 10 games into the season and went to the Jazz for Mo Williams. Since then I have been the starter for the Jazz getting about 29-31 mins/per game (40min in 12min/qtr simulation). I'm currently 2nd among guards in the All-Star votes (West) behind Kobe. Been Player of the Week twice and Player of the Month once.Comment

I am thinking about substituting Anti-Freeze for Defensive Anchor. I had 99 consistency and I dont really take bad shots, So I could make the sacrifice. Plus anything to make my teammates play better.Comment

In my 4th season of my 3pt Specialist PG MyCAREER and I'm with the Pacers. I've hated playing with Roy Hibbert all season long because he never gets any boards, he never dunks and he's slow as sin. He just doesn't fit my play-style, which is run and gun and basically aggressive. So I've been telling the GM all season long that I hate playing with him and that we don't get along. He keeps taking my side and telling me Hibbert will be dealt. Finally, about 2-3 weeks before the AS Break, the GM comes to me and asks for 5 guys to go after via trade. I ask for Markieff Morris (I'm a KU fan and if they don't deal Hibbert, he'd be a nice fit at PF), Al Horford, JaVale McGee, DeAndre Jordan and another center who I can't remember right now. A few games later I get a trade notification: We traded Hibbert and our 1st round pick for Horford. I couldn't be more excited. I don't care about the 1st round pick as it's likely to be in the late 20's and the CPU never drafts anyone good anyway. Luckily for me, both George and Granger were hurt during the trade dealings, so neither one got dealt. Perfect scenario. I absolutely love playing with Horford as he actually gets rebounds and is aggressive on the offensive end. Played the lasy key game of 7th reg season against Nets with both Floor General(lvl 2) and Defensive Anchor(lvl 2). All I gotta say is that I shouldve did that earlier in career. We blew out the Nets in the 1st ever game against them in my career. I had 31pts, 19 assists, 5 rebs, and 2 steals. We couldve won the game without me. My teammates showed out. Hickman had 29pts and 16 rebs, Waters had 23 pts and 5 rebs, Mullins had 15 pts and 8 rebs and 4 assists. Besides Deron Williams, noone on Nets had over 11 pts. If we can play like that in the playoffs, we are a team to watch for.
I am starting to like playing with Waters. I already known had Hickman would play. At first Waters just had a small role. Now he is showing how much of an all-around player he can be. Not just Floor General and Dimer helping him out, he is making smarter choices.
Just got the make playoffs 4 times, Lead league in Steals , and Finish top 10 in steals, assists, and scoring milestones. Suprised about the last one since I lost my starting job for a while and dropped down to 21.9 pts. Got lucky because I tied with 4 players. Same as assists(7.5), I was T-10 for assists. I avg 56 FG%, 42.5 3pt%, and 98% FT.
We ended in 6th seed against Cavs. I havent played them all season, but I know they are tough. Accidently pushed play next key game and we are down 2-3. I think we have a chance. I will probably only play 5 min quarters. Only thing is that they are extremely tough. Their PG(Irving), Waiters, and SF are all over 94 OVR and I am pretty sure that Thompson(PF) is over 85 OVR. Hopefully with Defensive Anchor and Floor General it makes my teammates better. I am the only one over 86OVR, but most is over 75 OVR. In past playoffs, I just simmed through playoffs. But, I might try to make it. I am not as young(not old at 27) as I am and my teammates are in their prime.Last edited by illwill10; 11-09-2012, 06:13 PM.Comment

2 questions that I can't find it the thread, so as not to ask them more than once.
1. How long can you play in My Career? Is it based on age or # of years in the NBA?
2. Can your My Career Player get a career ending injury (is that even in the game)?Comment
