no the team option is not glitched, only the contract extension is bugged. So, if your team takes the option then it should not freeze your mycareer.

I hope so. As I have Jr Smith as my SG which makes it so easy and I don't have to score all the points. Hell he avgs like 28pts a game and I avg like 20pts but 11asts.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Okay whoever is still playing on Default Sliders (I did it myself for 1 1/2 years) - GO TO SIMULATION sliders!
The game is just so much more fun and it really is more realistic, but it also is a lot harder as you need to be very careful picking up over the back fouls and stuff.
The only bad thing about it is that bad players always seem to kind of break your back, in my last game i played the Suns and Shannon Brown hat 34 Points on 13-15 from the floor.
On another note i hate that some players are just so underrated in this game.. Tyson Chandler who IRL just had 3 consecutive games of 20+ rebounds averages 5.6 rebounds in my second season, playing full minutes. Thats just an understatement imo.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
about your question, there will be a list of teams that offer you a contract as free agent. It is highly likely that your team would be one of them. If it's not try exit the game from the "free agent" page where you see all the teams offering you a contract and load your save. I was playing with rockets and they didnt offer me contract after third year, So I exit mycareer and loaded it again it took me straight to the free agent page and rockets did have an offer. hope this helps.Comment

Rose, Gordon, Deng, Boozer, Noah makes for a great team.
Won championship in 2nd season only because JR Smith shot lights out all season (I key gamed the whole season). It went down to game 7 and ended with Rose missing a 3 to win. Probably one of the best series I have ever played.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
So, I've only played two games with the Knicks. Shumpert is playing a combo-guard alongside Collison, the "real" PG. The rest of the line-up is Anthony, Morris (from Rockets) and me at Center.
My question is: is it possible to play only key games and still get an MVP or All-Star team call? I dont really feel like play 82 games, 7 min per quarter again only to get eliminated on the playoffs. Especially because I'm a Center, which means I only do four things: Block, Boxout, Rebound and score aka setting screens and rolling to the basket for the easy layup or dunk. It's getting kinda old.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
If you're player has great overall, the sim games can be good for your player.
But honestly, I don't think it's easy to have MVP or ASG by playing only key games.
But you can play some games and sometimes only play key games.
Doing like 45-50 games a seasonComment
