I've been wondering, what kind of surprises has anyone seen in the playoffs in their respective MyCareers. I've had a few myself so far.
I'm with the Toronto Raptors and helped lead them to a #1 seed w/ a 70-12 record. In the East, so far, I've seen surprises such as the Knicks being 8th seeded and the Celtics missing the Playoffs. Then, the Nets were the #2 seed and swept the Hawks and beat the Heat in 7 games after being up 1-0, down 3-1, THEN winning the next 3 straight! Out West, my Playoffs have seen Golden State eliminate San Antonio in the 1st round & the Battle of LA in the West semifinals. SO its OKC-LAL in the West Finals and BKL-TOR in the East Finals.
What else has anybody seen?
It was a rollercoaster season, a crazy playoffs, and I'm glad I stuck with the team and didn't start a new MyCareer...but the dumb part about all of that is that, the following season, George Karl and Andre Iguodala weren't with the team anymore. Iggy ended up in Charlotte and his numbers went down, and I think coach ended up with some scrubby team (sidebar: it sucks that there's no way to see the coaching staff from MyCareer mode unless they're fired/hired or directly in-game.)
Season 2 was nothing like the first, although I think I was on track to make the all-star team. We sucked, and I ended up trying HOF mode, which made it infinitely worse. I started a new MyCareer mode on superstar with the blazers, and we're now 8-12 so far...but I figured out that LaMarcus Aldridge is a beast if you keep feeding him, so I think we might be ok

Damn, isn't Batum supposed to be a good defender?
With his B+, I keep getting crushed by the opposite SF since a few games.
It's since we lost Matthews (great defender, A- I think), but Batum shouldn't be THAT lost! I mean, it's still him against his player!Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I was asked in the middle of my rookie season. To be honest I don't want anyone of my teammates to be traded that time. I'm playing SG on GSW. There is no way to refuse to the GM or cancel the trade. The GM traded Jack who is our 6th man a very good back up PG and we got Wilson Chandler. Chandler is ok but we already have Harrison Barnes at SF and he's good. Now he only have 7 minutes playing time and he's not happy with GSW anymore.Comment

Same question I have for Tyson Chandler. He has the signature skill defensive anchor for what's worth, and yet he just stands there and let opponents abuse him.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
there are games irl where there are less turnovers. About fouls, if you play on "default" there aren't many fouls, you need to switch to "Sim" if you want more fouls called on you and against you.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
But the best turnover average in NBA history is 11. How come my opponents barely do 7-8 turnovers (in9 min QT)?
About the defaut/sim, I'm in defaut indeed. Sim is a bit harder right?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
sim is a bit harder in a sense. In sim you miss open jumpshots from time to time, when you drive and finish you get fouled lot more(you will be called for more fouls too), more reachin fouls are called, game is slowed down considerably. If you play Center use SIM and run plays option on and you would enjoy the game trust me.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
The Grizzlies win the first two games of the Western Conference Semis in Oklahoma City. In a game 2 113-106 win, the Cobra had 40 pts, 10 reb, 1 blk and 1 stl, while putting up a LeBron like FG% of 71. We have the next two at home, so we could sweep or at least be up 3-1.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

I'll give a try to Sim then.
Can you imagine a team with Jennings, Ellis and Nick Young? How unstoppable that would be in shooting?
Well, Milwaukee did it in my career :s just lost against them, but finally, the 3 didn't made that much damage.
But trust me, you see the 3, you think "what the hell is gonna fall on me!"Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
With the Celtics championship hopes they probably need a more defensive oriented C who can also rebound. But for the future your style can fit but the problem is being face up your gonna need the ball in your hands and Rondo also needs the ball to create shots for you guys. By the time the future comes your ratings will likely be up there that your play style wont really matter anymore though. IDK if faceup C can already dunk but depending on how important that is to you, you can put your skill points into it to get it up as fast as possible. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment
