Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Just got the game. What's the best situation for a PG. What do you guys recommend as far as formula? I have played great in the showcase and still can't get higher than 13th.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm not liking the patch. Ever since the patch came out I have to score 40+ to get a win, before I could drop 20 and get the W. Now reliable scorers aren't able to put the ball in the hoop for some reason.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Am I going mad or did I just see a totally different menu when players are subbed out?!
I never noticed it before, but an overlay at the top of the screen came up and showed who was being subbed. Just never saw it before.Comment

This isn't the case for me at all. I haven't even noticed any gameplay changes in MC at all. Except maybe a few more fouls.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
In the offseason. Lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Lots of movement in free agency. James Harden went to Minnesota, Melo went to the Spurs, Bosh to the Suns, Gortat with Clippers, Sessions back with Lakers, and Ginobli to Pistons. About to start my 3rd year and Raptors picked up my option.Comment

My team drafted a shooting guard. We already have Derozan and Ross there. Really needed a power forward. Can't stand when computer does dumb stuff like that.Comment

Superstar Mode
Decided to restart my PG since I was only a few games in and with the new patch figured it was best.
I recreated myself again. This time playing on Superstar mode to make the game tougher.
Rookie Showcase
Stars 78
Elites 91
My stats: 22 minutes,4 points,2 rebounds,17 assists,2 steals,block,2 turnovers,2-2 FG,1 offensive rebound,2 fouls,18 +/-,38 PRF,A- Teammate grade, 156 vc earned.
The Draft
Suns with the 13th pick interviewed me first. Next was the Rockets with the 12th pick, and finally was the 76ers with the 15th pick. In the Mock draft I was projected to go to the Suns. Which was my first choice between the 3 teams. I ended up going 15th to The 76ers. Not a bad spot hopefully in time I will be able to take the starting pg spot from Jrue Holliday.
VC Spending
Going in I already had a undershirt giving me a +5 to stamina. I think I only had like 40 something vc before starting the Rookie Showcase. So before starting my first game of the season I had 399 in vc.
I spent 100 vc each on Chris Paul's Jumpshot & on Michael Jordan's Free Throw. The rest of the vc that was left over and with the vc earned from the drills I was able to upgrade my midshot from a 54 to 59.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Question: the Free Throw attribute, is it more important/needed than during the previous 2 editions? I had it at 70 but upgraded it to 77 for now.
I never ever upgraded it before in 2K11/12 but I seriously can't make a decent free throw in this game. I still make them but it keeps hitting the rim and rolls in.
When I play with Kobe/Durant I can make a free throw with my eyes closed, so that's why I bought both of their Free Throw shots. But the release seems to be off. I got used to watching that circle glow and then fire but it seems to be off/way too late.
Can I practice my free throws in MyCareer, I only see Scrimmage or shootaround, nothing on FT's.Comment

Goal's 4 the First 10 game
With having my player being a defensive point guard. Offense is something I am going to need to improve along with my athleticism. So in first 10 games I wanna develop my mid range game, quickness and some on my durablilty.
First 4 games VC earned will go towards the Mid Range
Games 5 through 8 VC earned will go towards Quickness
and games 9 & 10 will go towards Durablilty.Comment

I am not sure if any of the info will help but just thought I would throw it out there.Comment

First Game of the season vs Nuggetts
10/31/12 - Halloween
(0-1) Nuggetts 89
(1-0) 76ers 104
My Stats:
27 minutes,2 points,2 rebounds,10 assists,block,3 turnovers,1-3 FG,2 fouls,-17 +/-,23 PRF,B teammate grade,150 VC earned.
The 76ers played great and the game was never really close which is why I got some many minutes in my debut. I was pumped that I was able to get 10 assists. Turnovers are a concern but it will be something I address more after my first 10 games. The bench for the 76ers were on fire and hopefully was the season goes on we will be able to continue it.Comment

Second Game vs The Knicks
11/4/12
(2-0) 76ers 86
(1-2) Knicks 80
My Stats:
15 minutes,4 points,rebound,4 assists,3 turnovers,1-2 FG,2-2 FT,2 fouls,1 +/-, 12 PRF,B Teammate grade,99 VC earned
This game was much closer. At one point we were down by 11 points to The Knicks and we were able to battle back. It was a nice defensive game.
After the game Coach Doug Collins told me that I would be the Sixth Man and would get about 18 minutes a game. I got 2 more games to develop my mid range.Comment
