Re: Chris Smoove trashes NBA 2K14
he's not trashing anything. he's just providing constructive criticism. he's not saying anything different than what people post here in wishlist threads or whatever.
i agree with him on the rebounding...looks like players are still failing to box out even when they're in position....ultra lame. the player either completely fails to box out him out, or the box out doesn't create contact so the other player just nudges him aside anyway. rebounding is going to annoy me to no end again.Last edited by blues rocker; 09-07-2013, 08:19 PM.Comment

Re: Chris Smoove trashes NBA 2K14
I'd hardly call it trashing, he just pointed out some valid crticisms. And for the record, everything he said was on point...crowd reactions are wack, slipping IS still useless, ball handling/graphics/presentation are nearly identical...
Fact: 2k14 is more like 2k13.5. If that's enough to warrant $60 for you and give you hours worth of fun, good for you. I personally have my eyes set towards next gen.Comment

Ehh, I like the honesty. I will just point out for anyone who does 'crazy layups' by accident that they control the outcome if you put the shot stick on absolute. You control what hand you finish with... yada yada yada....#WashedGamerComment

What's really worked for me is skipping the games every year or two. So I'll buy a hockey game, then next year a baseball game, then a basketball game (or boxing when it actually comes out).
It seems a lot of developers make very subtle changes, but for the most part the gameplay is similar year to year.
I think that has a lot more to do with such a short development cycle, lack of resources and fear. If the game has sold well, then don't dare make a big leap and risk losing those guaranteed sales.
Going to a bi-yearly rotation has really helped keep some of these games fresh.
I know that's not an option for some people, but until next-gen games start getting the full-monty, I'll continue with that strategy.Comment

Re: Chris Smoove trashes NBA 2K14
Haven't you heard the phrase nobodies perfect the developers where trying to shut people up from this year its like people expect the developers to answer every bodies needs and if you wanna spend time complaining about everything before you even play the actual game don't "waste your money" or you can hear from people who ACTUALLY played the game.Comment

Re: Chris Smoove trashes NBA 2K14
Smoove said everyone dribbles the same , that was false .
He says Pau Gasol didn't box out on that rebound , the user switched to Pau that's why and didn't box out .
Smoove didn't have any complaints about that Felton alley oop but he did have a problem with the Nick Young Alley Oop replay .
Smoove didn't say anything positive about the defense stances , blocks or player movements .
All he did was talk about Tyson's rebound , pick and roll , presention and the GW which wasn't triggered because the score didn't change and the refs were reviewing it .Comment
