I just rented the game and played my first game on Allstar sim, 12min quarters. I held on (pulled away some at the end) against the very bad 76ers with the Raptors at home. I won 101-94. Overall I was pleased with the AI, but they never take mid range shots, 52 of their 94 points were in the paint. Maybe it was just the 76ers since they do have Embiid and Noel. But I think this is normal for 2k...have to adjust cpu shot tendencies on the sliders so they shoot more mid range and less in close.


Again, as it always the case with 2k. Big stand outside the 3pt line for no reason. Hansbrough, Patterson for me, both standing outside the 3pt line when I drive in with a guard. Like I'm expected to dish it out to them for a 3pt shot??? Why can't 2k figure this out and have the bigs roll to the basket or at least get in position for a possible offensive rebound (which is always low until slider tweaks, but never that good).


I thought the game felt more smooth though. I liked how I was able to shoot immediately after a pass.
As usual, the lack of a variety of turnovers is a problem with the game. The only way to get a realistic number of turnovers is upping steals, pass accuracy, or play pass lanes etc. When will they ever add traveling violations and charging calls at a realistic rate?? Even if traveling was coded in as a random occurrence I'd be thrilled to see it added to the game. Catch the pass and drive in, oops! Traveling violation is called. Idc if I have no control over it, I'd be happy to see it. Could even add a slider for traveling call frequency or something.

Patrick Patterson does actually shoot 3s, but your point still stands about Hansbrough and the other non-shooting bigs. Been a problem since forever..

For those who have it, are you just using '14 sliders?

got it used at g-stop so i can at least try it for a week to see if i like it.
so far, i like it.
not worth 60.
40 TOPS.
but there are some nice new animations, slight presentation changes.
need sliders though to really see whats up.

Id be scared if those calls were added, especially from a player perspective, knowing 2k they would probably mess it up and it would turn out as a big problem, btw, the bigs standing in the 3pt line could be the way your offense is set up, maybe your running ISO for a player and didn't notice? what am saying is you can manually adjust where you want them most likely.

finished a game using JA Moneys sliders from 14.
worked nicely.
everything lined up well stat wise.

saw a nice animation not sure i saw before.
ramon sessions brought the ball up the court. stopped at the top of the three point land, let go of the ball and let it bounce so he could rub his hands together. i then made my move with steph curry and swiped it.

anyways. i like it so far.
graphics have a nice polish and the colors pop.
kerr is mentioned as 'the golden state warriors head coach' by the girl sideline reporter.

Hi everybody! I have just bought nba 2k15 for ps3 and i would like to know what sliders are you using. I am reading that the game is the same that nba 2k14... So can i use the same sliders that in 2k14?? I like realistic stats in 12 minutes quarter.

Like you IM big on stats and only play 12 minute qtrs, unless Im playing with Euro teams then I play 10 minute qtrs like they do with 5 fouls.

I think you will find last years sliders will work well with this yrs game, because it is basically the same game as 14 with a few minor tweaks. I think passing was tweaked some, so I have had to turn down passing sliders for myself to get more turnovers.

Looks like we got a roster update today, and yet again 2k pulls a lie. They said the draft class issue would be fixed in next roster update, but when I went to look at a new draft class the same issues were there, 25 for ballhandling and 25 for offensive awareness

It's pretty much a port of this generations game, but taking a couple things away.

It's crazy to think how much these devices can actually almost handle a full fledged 360/PS3 game when it was the norm just about 2 years ago.

First of all, thanks for all the impressions from those who got the game. I decided to rent the PS3 version. I've loved all the 2k bball games, but feel like 2K14 was the pinnacle. I've had a lot of fun with 2K14.

2K15 is essentially a refinement of 14. It's still a great game, but the changes are ultimately fairly minor. I do see the new animations, and everything feels just a little tighter and better, but for me, I can't justify a full purchase.

One major annoyance: Even more "saving to server" (or whatever that message is), even for an offline association. Takes forever to do anything because of it; inexcusable for those of us who just want to play offline, but use VC.

It feels like a $20 expansion pack, if that. I may get it eventually (barring any other major bugs that people find), but for now, I'm sticking with 2K14.

That's a fair assessment. I was able to get 2K15 for about $30, which I thought was fair. If you have 2K14 and enjoy that, you're good waiting until the Black Friday sales to get this game.

Now I'm on my 3rd week of playing this game, have to admit it is starting to feel like crap now. 3pt spamming is still there, bad rebounding, layups and mid range shots are missing with minimum defense, forced shot are somehow falling or foul called, too many block,steals,, tips and strips, bad passing and cutting factors, games still feels like there are forced to be close. 2k just clean the edges and just put a repackaged 14. So glad I rented first. 2k almost got me there. Will be on live for next gen. I done with 2k.

Are you talking about online play? I dont see these issues offline, although the AI is still a little overpowered on rebounding that I have to turn theres down just a tad.

I will say the longer I play the more it feels just like NBA2k14, and other than a few new animations, and a new shot stick, there was nothing else they did to the game. I think when I 1st started playing 15 I hadnt played 14 in a long time, so it made 15 feel a little different, but it plays exactly the same as 14 did. Not that 14 was bad, cause it was the best game the NBA2k devs had ever made, but when you pay 60$+ for a game you basically already had does piss you off to a extent.

Atleast you were one of the smart ones and rented it 1st before buying it. I wish I had jsut kept 14 now considering how lazy these guys were with no more than did to the game.

I will say if your upset at NBA2k then I wouldnt waste your time or money on NBA Live, because there is no way it will come close to being as good as NBA2k is. I know you would think with a company as big as EA is that they would be able to hire competent devs that know basketball, but they never have. Its probably the main reason why NBA2k is still plagued by the same issues that they ignore to fix, because they have no competition to push them to fix issues thats been in their games for a while now.
