That's what I'm requesting. Whether they can or not, we should request one at the very least. Or give out refunds because they released a broken game.

I wasnt calling it small, i realize its big, i was talking about some of the other glitches to. Damn you live releasing early, thats what made 2k5 come out early. Does anybody believe with 2 extra weeks that they wouldvve caught and fixed this bug?Originally posted by neovsmatrixThe CPU timeout glitch is not small, it's huge. No game's perfect, I know, but no game should come out with such an obvious bug.
I don't mind clipping, I really don't mind some of the less obvious bugs. Stat bugs are stat bugs, they don't change the way the game is played. This does, and it's not right.Comment

Re: CPU Timeout problem, reason inside
no guarantees, but I would hope so. I'm just starting to feel these quick releases and $20 price tags are causing all of these issues. I just haven't been real happy with any of these ESPN games this year. Last year it was heaven. I believe that they planned this out from the beginning and thus allotted very few minutes to QA. Possibly why they had 67! members on that team, hoping to find a bug or two with all 67 playing for hours/days and not weeks.Comment

Re: CPU Timeout problem, reason inside
I highly doubt that this will work or if its true, but do you guys think maybe you need an extra controller hooked up to the 2nd port of the PS2 for it to work? My reason is that certain game option that requries two players modes won't show up in the menues unless the PS2 detects another controller in the 2nd port thus opening up a new menues for options. I would try it just for the heck of it.Comment

ESPN NBA Basketball was bad. This year would have been so much better, but they had to mess it up again with bad QA testing.
And I totally agree, I'm against the $20 price tag and releasing the games early. They're released a full month or two earlier than they should be. Let Live release early, the important thing is you do your own game right, or else you'll lose in the long run. That's what I believe, at least.Comment

Re: CPU Timeout problem, reason inside
I would be very concerned about this if the bug meant the game never stopped and thus the CPU never had a chance to sub. But when I played last night, the CPU did a great job of subbing in dead ball situations. So I don't think the TO problem will affect substitutions too much. And thus fatigue should not become a problem either.Originally posted by neovsmatrixThe CPU timeout glitch is not small, it's huge. And as far as end of game situations..well if the CPU is behind the AI will keep fouling you, stopping the clock and making subs. So i think of more as an annoyance than a major problem because there are gameplay-wise lots of situations in which the CPU can do the things kinds of things that would be done during a TO even if none has been calls. Make sense?
I mean if it were a situation where the CPU never called time-outs, never fouled, and never used the subs...well that would be a "game-killer" of a bug, but the time-outs alone are not. IMHO, OC.Thanks for the advice.
