editing roster w/ hex editor?

has anybody played around with the short lengths at all. Beside going to 5080 to 5090?
I looking for something in the middle like the mid 90's type length for a 95-96 roster.
I have gone back and forth and seems like 50even # long and 50odd # is short. If anybody finds anything please pm me.

no sorry i havent not sure if any of the pc guys have even looked for it. Since they can add shoes a pre set colors and stuff. But if i do i will post it in here.

Not sure what your trying to ask me. Are you asking if you can hex edit teams download from 2kshare?

With the Sacramento Kings now moving to Anaheim to become the "Anaheim Royals" is there a way to replicate this in the game? changing the Sacramento to Anaheim and then also changing the arena to the "Honda Center"?

Absolutely. This is one of the easiest things to do, but it obviously won't be recognized by the announcers.

On another note I think I found where the players were stored a while back, but I couldn't figure out what everything meant.

If you open a pc roster file with REDitor and look at the list of players, some categories have hex values. Sort by one of those categories and find a player whose hex value in that category is unique. Also make sure that this hex value is not used for another category. Then you can search for that value in the roster file. Eventually you'll find one that isn't repeated. I might try this again later.

I have tried to compare but the pc.file n xbox are not the same. I have list of the players and there omg code. Was taught how to find them w hex on the pc file. But that doesn't work the same way for xbox. I tried to transfer the player code with hex and search but no go.

Yeah players are in the section with a bunch of repeating ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ's

That's 1 player, they're always 260 in length. An easy way to find a certain player is just save one roster, then make 1 accessory change on the player you're looking for and save it as another roster. Use the Hex editors Compare feature to find that one difference between the files and there he is. I did this to change 89-90's Jordan into 85-86's Jordan so I could use him in the Dunk Contest.

On another note, is it possible to get rid of the crowd, so it's like playing exhibition games in practice mode?

Yeah from what I understand it's the same way you change the crowd. The code for it is s729. So you just replace the code for the arena you want with that code if I understand your question correctly

How can have a roster and make a created team so that they don't have alien faces???

With the exporting feature from association you always have players getting faces messed up. On the other hand you can create a team and when I look at it in the hex editor I notice some things you can change... but how do you locate to change the logo... and secondly how can through the hex editor you be able to edit the paint/coloring of the custom team floor while maintaining the logo you want to use?

I'm trying to create another Miami Heat (97 version) while keeping the Lebron/Wade Heat Team in the same roster file

ok but the thing is i cant tell where the png # is in that area so if we wanted to switch out a coach's face on to another or use a hidden player. Cant tell what to switch out. I got the code break down. Been at this for awhile and getting alittle burned out. Matt not sure , it has to be based on the mode. Kinda like jordan mode with scratchy broadcast. That might be harder to find the faces.
