Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
we all know that 2k messed up the jersey colors. so my thought is...when we are adjusting the accessory colors...which is pretty simple and could be done in a couple of hours for all teams...how will it look???
lets take the sixers...red is pinkish...right...no doubt about it...but so is the jersey color, when we change the accessory color to its real counterpart I think it will destroy the whole look...
its not the case with colors loike the blue for the thunder, hornets or nuggets, but the red, orange and green is a little bit different...
when I would give the celtics their color that the hex creater told me...that wouldn't look good...
it's bad that 2k gave us this base, but I think...to get the best result we have to use this wrong base
or we should be able to extract the jerseys...like the pc version...if that would be possible we would actually get the game color of the jersey and could adjust the accessory colors.
e.g. for the celtics...the road green is way to bright...should be darker to match the uniform...so solution...anyone how has also the pc version, extracts the jersey to a picture file, opens it with photoshop and posts the color...than we would be able to match the in game colors of the jersey...Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
im no programmer but can only assume that xbox 360 and ps3 files are vastly different and even more so for ps2 or regular xbox files. i doubt theres anyway to convert 360 files to regular xbox and even more so ps3 or ps2. that sounds like water to wine to me.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
This is true. When the editing started for All Pro Football 2K8 many of the tech guys who started this whole hex editing thing over in that forum mentioned that it was Xbox only because this requires rehash and resigning of the profile info if you do the hex editing which is something that PS's don't allow. There is no file manipulation allowed because of the way the files are stored on the system and how they are encoded.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
OK good news, I have spoken with Vlad the creator of the PC tool REDitor of NBA 2k11 PC. I will be working with him on the 360 files. By mid may there will be a full working REDitior of xbox 360 files . It will work the same way as the hex edit, after you edit you would put it in Modio to resign and rehash. It will work and be able to do the same as it does for the Pc files. A cut down verison will be coming out soon. I will let you all know.
I will be updating this thread regarding the tool as often as i can. I would like to thank the 6-7 of you that started hex editing after i showed you what could be done. And also by helping spread the whole hex editing to the rest of the 360ers. Almost all file's have some type of hex editing now.
I will update as much as i can and with pics when possible. I will be watching the thread close so if there any question on how to hex edit i still be here to answer them. I will continue my reserach to see what else i can do till i get my hands on the tool to begin work with him on it. So i have only a couple of days till then.
Please keep using the thread regarding hex editing things."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
YES yes it is.
If your talking about hex editing then maybe but the Reditor is built to NBA 2k11 code.
I have looked at live 10 and NCAA basketball 10 see very min able editing mostly text stuff. No idea about CHoops.Last edited by hokupguy; 03-20-2011, 12:30 PM."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment
