@HyperBaller

    Here you go. Full ratings video...you know...actual numbers instead of a grade. Finally someone clicked the L-Stick in. He's a genius I tell you! A genius!

    Edit: Also shows off the Sig Skills for the Classic Players.

        This is great, thanks for posting that video. It helped me alot knowing that ratings are in the game.

        I wish someone would go into edit player and scroll through an individual's tendencies and whatever to see whats new there. But i'll guess I can find out for myself tomorrow!

          I made a decision on Spot Up Shooter for midrangers: I decided not to go with it. These players are spot up shooters, but their medium shot ratings will already be in the mid to upper 80's (Bass) to the low 90's (KG).

          Well also have to consider that we already have Hotspots and Shoot Off Dribble attributes. With these players already having a high rating, they will make a high percentage of their shots. Maybe I will only assign to the players who have difficult releases to shot with.

            Hopefully that means a defensive player doesn't need Lockdown Defender to combat the Ankle Breakers. From the video, it definitely looks like Kidd did a better job than Felton. I'd be pretty stoked if this was true and if we can tell a bigger difference in On Ball Defense ratings this season than last year in terms of how they translate to gameplay.

              All of this thread and the ideas are based on the assumption that you can edit signature traits for real players but they haven't ever actually confirmed that you can do that. Only said that in my Player you pick yours.

                True. But I heard somewhere that these can be changed in EDIT PLAYER. Hopefully that is true or ALOT of people will be disappointed, lol.

                      Hey, OP. Is your goal also to limit the number of sig skills overall or just to be more accurate? I think giving out all these sig skills need to be toned down...

                        We are going for accuracy and the best effect on gameplay. If a role player ends up with 5 skills, so be it as a long as he is truly represented.

                          Can you help me understand why you chose not to give mid-range shooters the SUS skill but did give it to 3PT shooters? It seems like the players who do get the Sig Skill as 3PT shooters would also have high 3PT ratings which is why you decided not to give it to the mid-range guys. Statistically speaking, it seems that mid-range guys should get it too.

                            I would have to agree too, as that variable is indeed present on the 3s ratings ... I would also consider it as I have read from people with the retail ... that the game seems heavily oriented on paint scores and 3s and not enough on mids ... while this can be edited (with tendencies and coach profiles), it would definitively encourage the mid game ... anyways, to test it once the game is on our hands, seems the best route.

                              Hyperballer21 do you play with real shot % or straight up shot stick? I'm thinking of giving real % a shot this year since I just just brushed it off last year....

                                Eh. 16-23 feet is the lowest percentage shot in basketball. I'd probably only give it to those that have a funky or difficult release point. But, more often than not, you're going to miss a mid range shot 6/10 times in a game setting (the average in the NBA is around 36-38%).
