Does anyone know how to remove a players signature skills, either if you create the player through managing the roster, or editing an existing player. I've tried everything, and it's pretty annoying to not be able to remove a signature skill.

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
Dont get how cant they make it so the space needed to such vital feature is taken from our hard drives ... man, instead of improving and giving us more and more options and flexibility to make the game fit our perception of how it should be, and in some cases, to simply make it work ... they handcuff us and in the process them too (as those things that could have been worked around, wont), by taking out basic commun sense features.
With each thing that is discovered to be taken out, I am strongly leaning into not holding on my pre-release statement of 2k13 being the GOAT basketball videogame ... I just cant ... hope there is a workaround or that this get patched asap ... or at the very least, 2k should once and for all make the jump it seems to be gradually doing and become EA (on that aspect) by giving all these basic important features that were withdrawed within a paid DLC.
Sorry for derailing the thread with a selfish a bit off topic rant, but had to. Wont happen again on this worthy thread.Comment

Moderator, can you move this thread to the roster section please? I think its more appropriate there since the game is out now.Comment

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
I'm going to argue for Bogut getting Defensive Anchor again, because in my playing experience, the Sig Skill effect doesn't make the Warriors *that* much better. They can still get lit up and I honestly expected more impact from Bogut's shot blocking himself.
The skill seems like a minor boost and given the AI's poor rotating tendencies (often from Bogut, ironically), doesn't make the Warriors a defensive juggernaut. Curry still gets burned all the time, and Lee is still a crappy help defender, as he should be.
Also this:
"If I can influence other people to step up their up games defensively, that'll be mission accomplished for me," he said. "I think I need to bring the same tenacity and the same defensive mindset I had in Milwaukee, but make it rub off on David Lee and Brandon Rush and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, that we need to get stops to win games. I think that's more my goal than it is to actually go out there and block five shots a game. I think if we can get everyone on the same page defensively and hold guys accountable -- which guys probably weren't held accountable the last few seasons defensively -- I think we'll be better."
Holding each other accountable. Being prepared to get in a teammate's face. Now we're getting somewhere.
"If there's not one fight in practice during the season -- you never want to fight just to fight -- but if there's not one little scuffle or one little verbal, something's wrong. Guys aren't competing, guys aren't there for the right reason, guys are just punching the clock," he said. "I guarantee you if you interview the Lakers and the Celtics with Paul Pierce and Garnett, there's scuffles at practice, there's physicality, elbows thrown. You have to go through that when the time is right. If something needs to be said and someone doesn't like it, you've got to go out and say, 'Hey, that's part of being the leader.' This team won 20-something games last season [23]. Things have to change.
"A responsibility of mine is making sure that we're staying on top of each other, staying focused. If I miss a box out or if I miss a help D and David Lee comes after me, I want that. If I don't get it then I'm going to be asking questions why. If they don't tell me I made a mistake that was blatant, that we've been drilling every day for the last 200 days or 100 days, and none of the leaders or none of the people on the team have come up to me and said, 'What the hell are you doing?' something's wrong. I expect that from them. They should expect the same."Last edited by Sundown; 10-05-2012, 10:05 PM.Comment

Alright everyone. Since the game has been out for a little while now, what you do think of the signature skills so far? Anything useless or overpowering?Comment

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
Also, Floor General should be limited to primary ball handlers and Defensive Anchor should be limited to Bigs, but i'm sure a 2K genius like yourself knew to do that! lolComment

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
I was thinking about that as well, but he has to spend his 5 slots on more prevalent skills.
Also, James White, whenever he is added, I think deserves Chase Down artist. Maybe i'm being a biased super fan, but over in China, he had Wade-Type shot swatting skills.Comment

Bolded the main part, JW deserves no sig skills imo."Most people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them"Comment
