Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)
So i watched a game of the rockets playing the grizzlies.
some positives:
-best ball movement i have ever seen
-spacing is great on offense and double teams happen on star players, which forces them to run the offense through someone else.
-i played with the updated sliders and shots being jacked up early in the clock were not a problem.
negatives
-id like to see alot more pick and rolls called. the league is very pnr oriented and i didnt feel like this game reflected that.
-james harden had 11 3pa attempts by half.
-id like to see gasol get the ball more. in the high post or off of picks. they run their offense through him quite a bit. also it would be great if randolph isolated down low more and used his versatile game.
overall good experience there were alot of nice things happening. i also lowered the quickness to 40 because it felt at times like the players would do quirky animations that were rough and jerky. turning down this slider seemed to help alot. I also boosted the speed +5 to make up for it. game played nice for me personally.Comment

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)
Ok, my first game with latest Demo and sliders
*NOTE* Sliders have my personal tweak since I have experienced AI(CPU) taking a lot of shots early in shot clock mostly with 15+ seconds left on shot clock.***

I want to add this was a CPU game (CPU vs CPU). I wanted to see (these 2 teams especially) how they played as the CPU, to gauge how the AI works with slides. Not only the flow of the game but to se the speed and shot taking. I was not let down. This game was awesome. What looked like a mis-match after 12 minutes(I play 12 min qtrs.) The Pacers were out the gate with Carmelo taken out the game by Granger and George doubling him. The length was an obvious issue and no one was able to hit a shot.
The 2nd qtr, however, was different. The Knicks jumped out to a 16-4 run and went on to lead at the half, thanks to Amare's 12 PTS. The only real scoring for the Knicks in the 3rd was Felton, and for the Pacers, Paul George. These 2 went off. The knicks failed to t score in the last 2:37 seconds!!! As Indy went on a 8-0 run to end the 3rd. The 4th was back and forth until the Pacers with 4 Minutes left took a 10 PT lead and the Knocks were pressing (Carmelo Anthony) to catch up.
The sliders ran smooth, as I stated these contained a few of my personal tweaks to Tendencies, inside shooting, mid range shooting, 3pt shooting and close shooting. I started with the settings in bold to fix the shot clock running down issue and worked down until I got something that allowed the CPU to not just jack up 3PT shots really early in the shot clock.
Side note: Paul George was MVP. Also, D. Granger at beginning of the year was penciled to start at SG since George's Defense on SF's was stellar late year and George grew 2" over summer. And Granger coming off knee surgery was to share minutes at that position with Lance Stephenson.
Additionally, there was plenty of pass reflections, steals (JMO) and attempted blocks, but the Knocks are a jump shooting team so hard to block shots. Teams played as well as can be expected for a game and more....
The sliders and roster combo is AMAZING!!! Very nice detail on edits.NBA 2k18 Roster:

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)
Wow, absolutely awesome work guys!!!
Seriously, I knew this game had potential and the roster/slider makers would do their respective things. But you guys NAILED this one.
I've played with the original demo when there were only a few teams and thought they were pretty decent, but I've played 5-6 games with these and they are phenomenal. Seriously, strong work guys.
Pros
-Shot clock problem is absolutely gone, I've only seen one time in all of my games that was even close to dribbling out the clock. ONCE!!!
-Ball movement is much better than I expected
-The unpredictability of the AI is a welcome change. I can't cheat off of anyone, I can't leave a bum open because I know the CPU won't shoot with him. EVERYONE is a threat, just as it should be.
-Drives to the lane aren't the spam fest, it's 1-2 moves, just as it should be.
-The feel of this game is awesome, it feels like I'm playing against a human opponent who is just better than me in every way. I'm struggling to keep the games within 20, mostly because of adjustments that I need to make defensively
Cons(Most of these, there isn't anything you guys can fix to my knowledge)
-Definitely not enough inside AI presence on Defense(Blocks). Played Hibbert and I didn't respect or fear him as I should. --I know you guys are working on this one, hope we can get some better results going forward.
-Not enough turnovers by AI(only 3-4 per game, since I know you're getting mixed results, I can fix myself)
-Rotations seem a little wonky, and I mean just a little(Taj Gibson subbing at SF, Scola the same, T. Snell, Teague actually playing lol) I don't know how much work you guys did with these but this is an area that can be improved
-As another poster said earlier, not enough PnR's in the mix, but just slightly off
-Since I watch 60-70 Bulls games per year the playbook is not as close as I feel it should be. I'll post more detail in the Plays that aren't broke thread vtcrb, hopefully I'm not too late for alterations to be made
This is all I can think of at the moment. Apologies if I come off unappreciative, I want to help, because these things are so on point, and the closest thing I've seen to real ball. This is the most stellar work I've seen in a while.

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)
Vtcrb, r u going to release google docs of all the changes (ratings/tendencies/etc.) that u guys have done to the roster?
I just switched over to p4 2k14 & I'd like to implement your all that stuff on to my personal roster.
If no, that's cool bro. I still have my 360 lol."It's about damn time... It's about damn time.” - LeBron JamesComment

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)
Awesome game and Awesome Feedback. Glad to see it worked out for you. GO ahead and Post you Alternate Sliders. Mine are different because I have been playing 10 or 11 min quarter, but yours seems perfect for 12 minute. Thanks again for all the testing you have done. I look forward to reading more of it.
Keep in mind these are 'BEFORE' today's tweaks
Gameplay Settings:
QTR LENGTH: 12 MIN
Game Speed: 47
Tendencies: (CPU SIDE)
Take Inside Shots: 60
Take Close Shots: 75
Take Mid-Range Shots: 75
Take 3PT Shots: 55
Post Shots: 85 (I think this was already set)
Those are all I changed. What I see?
The CPU will not run shot clock down and if 3PT isn't open they will attack basket or take mid-range, close(r) shot. They will also shoot when open without a thought.
I will be testing the new ones StraightBaylien and VTCRB posted in page 2.
Test those and see how they are working for your style and remember EVERYONE's Style is different and may need tweaks. StraightBaylien and the guys work hard on these settings specifically for these rosters, so I wouldn't advise changing much as the roster edits will cause UN-explained playLast edited by deathstryk3; 11-20-2013, 10:59 PM.Comment

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)
OK... my first game with latest sliders (SEE PAGE 2)
-Game is running smooth. (NICE changes StraightBaylien)
-Good contrast to early shots in shot clock. A lot of contested 3pt and a lot of them taken with on ball Defense. The CPU seems to look for them (May want to lower a tad)
-More steal attempts... Knocking away balls
-Passing lanes are nice.. Guys aren't taken bad risks but when they miss they are paying with wide open jumpers.
-Would like to see going to post more, and driving to basket more. About 80% of shots were pull/spot up Jumpers. Barely any driving to basket.
-Fouls are slow coming due to jump shots from each team. Mostly AND1's
Love the new slider edits. Will update stats when game over.
***EDIT*** Players began the 2nd QTR going to the basket and attacking more. BUT still barely no post up play. Roy Hibbert was 1-2 FG

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)
OK... my 2ND game with latest sliders (SEE PAGE 2)
Game was similar to first game in terms of game play. THE AI (CPU) went off with bombing 3's. Still no inside attempts, no post ups from AI and tons of 3's
I noticed in this game and the last game, no one was ever in foul trouble, yet the stats show plenty of FT's. I would consider decreasing the Fouls in the fouls slider for blocking fouls and shooting fouls and increasing the reaching fouls

Inside the Game:
This game was close at half til Kevin Martin went off in the 3rd to stretch the lead from 3PTS at halftime to 9. Then to start the 4th QTR the Timberwolves went on a 6-0 run to start and the game was gone from there. The Suns made it respectable with 2 late 3's in a row under 2 minutes in the 4th, but the M. Morris and O. Okafor was too small and too slow against K. Love and N. Pekovic. R. Rubio did as he wanted against E. Bledsoe who couldn't stay in front of him and with K. Martin and C. Brewer hitting from outside there was nothing for the Suns in terms of competing.
On another side, the Suns couldn't hit the broad side of the fence. Couldn't stop Minnesota's big men from rebounding and couldn't guard the swing-men. R. Rubio's poor shooting was not Defense. It was the fact he can't shoot.
Gonna try a few tweaks and post another gameLast edited by deathstryk3; 11-21-2013, 03:48 AM.Comment
