Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)
If this can be eliminated or even turned down to about half I think the wins will start going up. It just does not happen at a realistic occurence. I am just not having fun with every game being such a grind no matter the opponent.
Also the impossible shotmaking by the cpu to attain realistic stats are killing the fun factor.
I think I am gonna start my new ASSC on Pro and if somethings change in the future I will be in thats for sure.
sigh, i feel like i should go delete that post i made a few pages back haha. I seriously believe on AS that the HUM and CPU sliders cannot be the same numbers.Last edited by ~: AkaDemiK :~; 01-26-2011, 04:17 PM.Comment

Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)
You really have to force the CPU to take bad shots. I am playing the Mavs right now, and i was getting killed in the first half by Dirk and Company, but then i really started making them take bad shots and took a 9 point lead on them (they led for the majority of the first half).
I'm not going to say the CPU wont ever make shots with good D on them, because players make tough shots in real life. However, i do think if we keep pressuring them to make tougher shots, it's harder for them to score in the long run, i am seeing proof of this right now. I basically just shut down the Mavs offense in the 3rd, they only scored 10 points to my 26, after scoring 27 and 24 in the 1st and 2nd qtr.

Greenie...anyway you can re post your PRO sliders? I loved them and lost them. All-star is flat out too rough for me. Thanks!Comment

Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)
Just played the Mavs and had a great game. I realized that if you aren't playing great D it's hard to win games. I had to step my defense up to win this game and it really paid off, i kept the Mavs at only 80 points total. I was really surprised by how i shut down the Mavs offense, especially in the 3rd qtr. This game showed me a lot about these settings and what we as players have to do to get the W against good teams. I also didn't commit too many fouls, so they had less time at the line to get easy points. I am about to play a weaker team to see how the game compares.
Heat vs Mavs
Score: 93 - 80
FG %: 32/63 (50%) - 32/80 (40%)
3pt %: 7/14 (50%) - 6/16(37%)
FT: 22/25 (88%) - 10/14 (71%)
Assists: 11 - 21
TO: 15 - 6
Fouls: 6 - 18
Rebs: 38 - 33
OReb: 5 - 10
Steals: 3 - 5
Blks: 7 - 5
PIP: 40 - 30
Key Points:
I outscored the Mavs 26 - 10 in the 3rd qtr. The mavs shot 18% in the 3rd.
I committed only 6 fouls during the game
Bench gave me 25 points, most of it it the 4th. I ended the game with Lebron and Wade on the bench, M. Miller and J. Jones were great from 3 point land.

Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)
I won't say a solution but a happy medium. Winning every game is not the result that I am looking for. I don't look for complete realism in a video game either. I do look for fundamentals and fun. If I see 2 bad passes one game and 6 the next I would be ok. But when I'm at the end of the game and my guy is 2-3 ft away and no defender within 10 ft and he throws it into the stands then that is frustrating even moreso when it has happened 5-7 times already. This is when frustration for me comes in. To never throw an errant pass is not what I am looking for. The hum player almost has no control at critical times of the game and you can sense the cpu has an edge every single game, I'm sure a few tweaks here and there will/would help some of the complaints/issues that some of us are experiencing. I don't no jack about tweaking sliders if I did I would offer more to the community.Last edited by Flightwhite24; 01-26-2011, 05:21 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Gonna give it one more try and see what happens. I do think Pro is gonna be the way to go for me but I am intrigued by the way greenie mentions of how the cpu moves the ball on AS. Wishing myself good luck
Gonna buckle down and watch the passes and to's and just play smart and make defensive changes as I see fit.Last edited by Flightwhite24; 01-26-2011, 05:29 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment
