Why can't all rivals cards be better than playoff cards and worse than playoff pros? The fact that you guys listened and change Rival cards stats is a great thing something a lot of us have been asking for a long time since there is only one player who can pro it. Why does it have to be two or more volumes of rival cards? We are asking for an update to 6 cards man everything else on the update is fine.

My only gripes at this point is





1) the matchmaking is still skewed and would like to see an effort to fix this.





2 ) my deck on my android still shows 100 player cap. And I'm afraid I might not getting the increased drop rates.





If these are adressed, you would not have any complaints from me.

I haven't noticed drop rates either. I have gone through about 30 or more boards and got 3 rates and the rest were energy

Twista I understand the passion around the game and your anger. However, lets not rewrite history or lose all objectivity. OS Sports has a long history of supporting 2K games, so when this thread started here I joined it. You absolutely helped get the sub-forum created and have been a great supporter of the product all along, which I appreciate. I have even told you that your site was great and it was nice that you guys started a fan site. Not sure what more you want in terms of recognition. I don't post over there because I simply do not have time to spread across multiple sites, something I explained a couple of times.


As for this update, we did not set out to "screw the vets". Quite the opposite, we provided a whole new tier of rewards to make the game engaging for players new and old. You personally have complained to me multiple times that there was no way to improve your deck. Now there is through Playoffs cards and the new RC cards. Many players with lesser decks than yours complained of poor drop rates, desire for Epic+ cards, cheaper Epic Packs, etc. All the things we did with this update.


The old Rivals Cards that seems to be the focus of much ire, were not changed in anyway with this update. They remain valuable good cards. They are still better than Legendary cards but below Legendary Pro cards. Adding a tier above Legendary doesn't change that fact. Yes, there are cards better than them now, but that is to be expected if the game was going to continue to grow. There has to be new better cards available to keep it interesting for people that hit the ceiling. If you objectively look at the stats of the old RC cards they will actually beat several Playoffs cards. The MJ Pro card in particular is near the top of the heap vs. Pro Playoffs cards. I would have to check the spreadsheet again, but only a few cards beat him. Take a look at the numbers. RC cards did not suddenly become "garbage".


As I have explained previously, the new Rivals Cards are based on being better than most Playoffs cards, but worse than Playoffs Pro cards. That means their stats are higher than old RC cards, but to be expected since RC rewards have always been top rewards. They will show up in the Playoffs card filter in the Collection vs. the old cards show in the Legendary filter. If we had made the new RC cards similar to old cards in stats, then we would get players complaining that they were not strong enough. To be top rewards we had to give them a boost.


Ultimately, if you had a good deck before you still have a good deck, just maybe not the "best" deck any more. Yes, other players can "buy their way to the top" through the new cards, but that isn't any different than before. Some players will decide to do just that and buy cards. Other players will opt to use their time instead of play lots of Quick Games or compete in Rivals Clash events to build their deck. Other players will rely on Season Games and the new rewards there to build their deck. This is all a good thing imho. Everyone has a means to improve their deck and have new things to shoot for. We have free and pay ways to get there just like before. It all depends on how you want to engage with the game.

These new rivals cards should not be called rivals cards if they are in a new category. If they are playoff rivals cards instead of leg rivals cards than name them something completely different make the look completely different and make a new game mode for them. Don't use the same thing u have been using for the last 3 months and advertise them the same way and say well we just wanted to update their stats wtf so basically the 60 hours a week we have put in to obtain the "old" ( as in last week) rivals cards is for nothing?

Yeah... I don't really understand why they're so stingy with 6 cards.

Again, we WORKED for those cards. Creating a whole new class just weeks after all of that work (or in KD case, 7 days...), makes that work seem even more worthless than it already felt to put that much effort into a mobile card game...

It makes it so that the prospect of working/spending for Rivals v2 doesn't seem all that attractive.

Just from a business perspective, I cannot imagine what the upside is in being so intransigent with this.

This isn't gonna make your spenders MORE apt to grind/spend for new cards. It's gonna do the exact opposite.

I don't even get to top 50 or close the farthest I got was 125 and that was so hard. I don't really want them to leave. I can't take their spot. I'm shooting for rivals or legend pro this rc

You start a job and you get paid 10 dollars an hour and for the first 3 months you have a good job something that pays well and you enjoy. Then you find out they are hiring some people that will have the same job, title and experience as you expect their starting hourly rate is 20 dollars and hour. How would that make u guys feel? How is that fair?

I'd quit and get a new job. Hopefully other people do the same. You can try talking to management (nwgd) but your chances of getting a raise are about 0.

I never complained about people using money to get the best RC cards so how can anyone be mad about people buying their way to a good deck through leg packs. Besides to get a full deck of playoff pro cards is gonna cost hurdreds (thousands?) Of dollars. Yea people will end up with one or two playoff pros. I have no problem with the new playoff cards I think it's a good thing new cards have been added to give leg pros a run for their money.

What I have a problem with is the same type of card having two different volumes. Legendary rivals cards and playoffs rivals cards. At the end of the day they all look the same you obtain them the same exact way than they should all be around the same stats. Look at twista's twitter if u have one his untrained pro rivals MJ has around the same stats as this new untrained single Carl Malone. This new update has made the "old" rivals cards worthless
