Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
The thing is CD has zero interest in creating more free credits into the market. On the contrary, the AH is only a means to suck up credits. ... AH is only used to decrease the number of credits in circulation to entice people to buy some more. That's the only reason why minimum prices are lower than pack prices.
Last time I checked only a small percentage of people pay into free-to-play games. CD isn't trying to soak the free players so much as provide value to those people who want to pay in. Changing the minimums would kill the economy they've constructed. Adding a grind bonus would not.Comment

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
I disagree. Everyone has a large amount of value in the cards they own. The problem right now is simply that you can't convert those cards into credits. The majority of players probably don't have credits to buy with to start things off, so everyone is trying to sell first. As a result the market is overly saturated. A small infusion of cash to get the ball rolling will clear this up.

The fact that they charge 30%, which is in itself insanely high, is the clearest example of their tactic, which I find logical.Comment

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
The tax is obviously there to keep people from doing even trades and add a cost to the purchasing of a card, no big deal (although a little steep IMO too). If you put a 3 credit bonus for each quick game, earning the 5000 credits for a star card would take 1667 games. That's actually more grinding than it takes to get a star card out of a rivals clash event. It would not be in any danger of breaking the system.Comment

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
I was so excited to finally use auction house and so disappointed that this beta has been incredibly botched.
Cat Daddy must be run 100% by developers with 0 marketing people involved in any decision?
20 credits wasted on each auction so we can help Cat Daddy beta test pricing levels? DUMB
Minimums so high that no one actually buys anything? DUMB
95% of auctions closing with 0 bids? A RESULT OF DUMBNESS
Same minimum bids for Pros as regular cards? DUMB DUMB DUMB
Charging me to post a Legendary card at your outrageous minimums, then having it not sell? DUMB. If you want to avoid people posting crap cards, then just charge those that post crap cards.
Me wasting money on testing it? DUMB...that won't happen again.
Cat Daddy - Call this beta a failure, refund everyone their 20 credits, and lower the minimums. Call your marketing people (if you have any)...they'll agree.Comment

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
That is fine for you, but not all of us do have tons of Legends, Stars and Epics or even Pro´s to sell.
Some of us just have weaker line-ups, weaker decks and want to upgrade them or sell stuff, without buying credits before.Comment

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
If you don't want to spend money, and you don't have valuable goods to sell, WHY on Earth do you believe you should be able to get into the market? At a high level?
If you have a weak deck, and want to upgrade... you're gonna have to spend money or grind. CD isn't just gonna give away top level decks. It completely undermines their business, and it completely undermines the process of the game. The game would be stupid if everyone was just given amazing decks.Comment

I don't think you understand how delusional you sound.

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
All I've ever played that had an ah was madden ultimate team. The reason why that ah is so successful is because you have to have a copy of the card to put in collection and there are several collections for each card to be placed. There's a reward for the collections and a reason for everybody to try and get every card in most cases several times over. This can't and won't ever work that way in this year's version of the game.Comment

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
Not sure if anyone has posted this, but I'll say it anyways.
I think a better way to implement taxes is to make brackets. So 500 and under could be no tax, 1000 and under could be 5% etc.
Something like :
500 and under : 0%
500+ : 5%
1000+ : 10%
5000+ : 15%
10000+ : 20%
Probably not those exact numbers, but just some tiered system like that.Comment

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
Here's my 2 cents on the AH beta:
Overall great UI and very easy to use, and will expand the options in the game. the way I see it, user should be able to get a card or 2 of of the AH to improve his LU, but not jump from SR to STAR, and the current state seems to be exactly that.
Bugs
1. Sort seems not to work exactly as expected. sometimes it seems to take the previous search when displaying result.
2. user can click the buttons while the 'enter number' window is opened (this might also be the way some users managed to bid with lower than minimum numbers...
Features:
1. option to filter by Pro/Non-pro/Fully trained. I know this can be obtained by 'sort by rating' or some filter of OFF, but it would be easier as a specific filter, and the sort can be used for something else (sort by minimum cost)
2. option to sort by BIN value
3. Notifications - much more complicated to implement... but it could be nice to set search criteria and get notifications that a card is on the market matching what you requested.
Regulation
Without going too deep into the actual numbers (30%, 20 post fee, minimums), I can just say that:
1. everything got a market, if the price is right, even trained UC are being sold for players that wants a day off grinding... and the market will balance itself (as can be seen in the deals being made in the forum), I'm sure CD monitors all transactions, and I hope the numbers will be adjusted accordingly (of course the same price for PRO and single is a critical anomaly that should be addressed)
2. if the 20 post fee is meant to keep the AH from spam, it would be fair to refund those credits (or half?) if the card has been sold (a clear indication this was not a 'spam' post...). this seems like a small amount, but if someone wants to sell trained UC, taking off 20 out of the coins he'll earned seems to be too much just for a 'regulation fee'.
3. trade - this will happen, we have the technology... and CD gets their 30% of both sides. so it would be great if this could be part of the AH, instead of doing this outside of the game...
Overall, as said before, I think the AH was well (and carefully) built, it did not 'broke' the game, and the idea one can buy one or two specific cards and advance a bit is good.
with some minor adjustments, it will make for a fun addition to the grind-grind-grind part of the game.

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta
The filters for enhancements and support cards are useless. They seem to be based on last year's support cards. Enhancement search filters should be for offense, defense, etc.Comment
