This will change with the introduction of playoff tier. Those with stacked special star lineups won't be placed in the same tier as the rest of those in star tier. It should separate the tiers a bit more. Someone in star tier will be able to view a playoff tier icon and skip that matchup until they get a matchup they want. But eventually you might see it happening again at playoff ++ tier if there are special playoff cards released. (Which I really hope they don't do. But knowing $D, I imagine they will. )

Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
But that isn't the case. The guys running lineups with 5 RC/HOF/P&P Pros will not play lineups better than them, because they have the top lineups. Guys like me, however, with 5 normal Star Pros will have no chance at +5, because we will be facing them, where we will get crushed. If I can't win at +5, I'm not going to hot streak, and I may as well not even play. You can't make top 100 or 1000 by playing +3 games.Comment

Plus, 3/2 is what enables scripters to be able to win with consistency. Remove it and it will definitely shake up the top 100. They wouldn't even need to have the authentication code in place at that point.
If they just update the ai so it doesn't always play its best cards in qtr 1 and 3, then it would kill scripting efficiency as well.
Not quite. Sure that works for people who are amateur/rookies, but if you have half a clue with what you're doing you should be able to write your own 'AI' that detects rounds and picks the best card to use from your deck based on some config. At that point 3/2 is irrelevant anyway.
I reckon there aren't too many sophisticated scripts like this out there though, but you never know.
