OS Concerns: All-Star 2016 Pack Glitch

Let's consolidate everyone's concerns, suggestions and ideas here so the CD team has some brainstorming feedback from the user community to go along with what they have to figure out from technical, economical, etc. standpoint from their end.

I've read up on some great takes in the main thread... please re-post your thoughts here!

As promised, I'll add my two cents later today/early Monday after handling some personal business on this lovely Valentine's/All-Star Day!

If they choose the total server rollback solution, they could give everyone an automatic reset. This would address some concerns about people who have had a reset since the glitch.

I honestly don't think they will fix it, because it would open them up to refund claims. I don't think they have the ability to do a targeted fix and based on the increase in rc grind post glitch, the desire.

To CD, if you are a serious company :

You know exactly when started and when ended the -100% AS pack sale.
You know exactly who bought the AS pack in this interval.
You know exactly which cards players received from these packs.

--> Remove these cards

To CD, if you are a serious company :

You know exactly when started and when ended the -100% AS pack sale.
You know exactly who bought the AS pack in this interval.
You know exactly which cards players received from these packs.

Not really. What about the ones that got pro'd with credit purchased star contracts? widlcards? Since it's been 24hours what about all the ones currently in seasons. What if I pro'd one with an AS card I already had legitimately? If they wait any longer, there will be people who win season with those cards. You could only say anyone who abused it enough can just eat these consequences. But when they take their concerns up with 2k or Google/Apple it won't matter. It's CD's fault this happened, not the users.

You could just ban anyone who abused it past a certain point.

I really don't see an easy fix. If they weren't lazy turds who don't work on the weekend, they could have killed the pack, taken servers down, roll back 1hour, easy. I mean seriously, who has a job that they aren't required to work on the weekend when literally the companies future may be on the line? Who are thesse people?!

CD is f*cked no matter what they do or don't do.

If you used wc or star contracts to pro cards you know you got during a glitch you just have to eat the risk.

The game is all but ruined with huge populations of full AS pro rosters

You will say that I am saying all this because I did not benefit the glitch.
Well maybe but what I know is that what I'm saying is in my opinion the less hardcore solution because of course the easiest would be to ban everyone who bought the packs (or at least a high number of packs). If I had "bought" the free packs and at the end CD just removed the AS players, I would say that's a correct answer.

aside from a rollback (which the longer it'll take for it to happen the worst it'll be for everyone)

why not just nerf the AS star cards to be on par with regular star..(i just won one from season reward for winning...so that sucks) but it's the only other solution other than targeted resets on people who took advantage (i wont say abused...cause this was CD's fault) of the glitch

I don't know what they're thinking every second they do nothing compounds the problem.

If the backlash from this becomes even greater I'm guessing CD might lose the contract with 2k. No tears shed there tho.

What about people who actually paid for AS cards? they'll get screwed over for a 'crime' they didn't commit.

One of the ideas I thought of as a possible easy fix is to boost HoF/RS/TBT card stats a bit, then change the season rewards to give RS to first place, HoF second place, AS to semis, and Regular star to quarter+. Making AS not quite as appealing.

None of these solutions address the fact that the auction house is still messed up and there is no longer any point in grinding for resets if they go for nothing and are weaker than AS. It's reset back to before the packs or nothing for me.

I like this. Elegant. Only problem is a lot of us have several AS cards through seasons already. Now ours suck?
