didn't read the full review... just the closeing comments and that little sub-category breakdown at the end of the review. 9/10 is a great score

and just like the previous Live games... Sliders DRASTICALLY change the game for the better. And i am sure all you slider guys out their are going to do great work with them just like you always do. I am sure once a good realistic slider settings have been made, the game is going to play just great

Why are so many taking IGN's comments as gospel?

I am much more interested in what Court_Vision and Admiral said about the game since we know they know Basketball over what IGN says.

I called and they said that they have shipped the game out as of today, and they should get it in stores 2morrow, but if not 2morrow it will definately be in stores on Monday..

If you read what psm actually said you will realize they weren't looking into getting into the evolution of basketball in 2k but the stylized superstars that live has. If they were real players they'd know a good game when the saw one. And it seems as if they had an older version anyway.

If a reviewer likes an EA game (like IGN did) they are nuts. If a reviewer doesn't like a 2K game, they are nuts too?

Yup. and it seems as if people are in some disbelief at the fact that, maybe, just maybe, Live may be better than 2k6.

Well his review was bs regardless of the score as some his comments don't reflect alot of sim gamers out there.

I guess this game deserves a 9.0. I'd give it a 8.5 cuz of the sliding because that's highly unattractive but whatever. These gimmicks will really attract the casual gamer. High flying dunks and stuff, yeah that looks pretty.

I have to admit, it DOES look FUN. But there is no way anyone can convince me that this looks real. And if I had to play this as my sim bball game *shudders*, then I would turn off the Superstar ability thing.

Sim? Hell no. Look at a real NBA game on TV and then look at this. Hell NO.


P.S. PSM cheated score 2k for not having much arcade aspects, when it was intended to be a sim game. That's what the so-called "2k guys" are talking about.

Well....it's pretty obvious know what angle ign will take with there 2k6 review.

They raved about live but said it's not realistic and "if your looking for realism your looking in the wrong place!"

Then, I guess thats were 2k6 will come in.

Maybe, but I wouldn't go ahead and trust any reviewer's opinion before trying both games for myself.

According to Admiral's and court_vision's posts Live is actually a really good game now. And I trust their opinion over any mainstream reviewer's.

After reading the review and seeing two scores within the summary as (7), I'm quite surprised the game got a 9.0, SEEMS STRANGE! I am also surprised by the Graphics score by itself given the game has a new engine, It's the SKATING!

Oh no here we go agian with the SIM game stuff.

I'm not even going to beat a dead horse regarding this anymore. I'm just glad some of us know how to tweak aspects of a game to make it perform much better. Then again you have some guy's who sit back and expect changes to be made for them and those are usually the ones left out without enjoying the great aspects of any game that sliders and ratings can improve.

But overall I doubt we will see this great/perfect SIM game some posters keep waiting on to fall out the sky and I don't care who the developer happens to be making the game.
