Thanks... I also found a patch called RealNBA06... but every time I try to extract it, it's corrupted. Do you have this patch installed? It supposedly changes the way the game plays. Sounds pretty nice.

Havent used that one. I'm cautious about patches that make big changes like that. I would read what most people are saying about that in the forums before installing it.

The real Shoe patch (Seraph)
Multiple stadium and court patches (4th qtr and nbalive.org)
4th qtr's Banner patch
Any cyberface found on nbalive.org

Yeah, the patch itself got really good reviews of 8.05/10.00 or something along those lines, but I can't ever get it to download correctly or something. I don't even know what it does. Oh well.. I'm loving the game like it is right now anyway.

The cyberfaces are actually quite good this year from EA, so I haven't even downloaded any of them from the sites... quite suprised. Once I get my new graphics card, things will be even better I'd say.

I've been so busy messing with NCAA 07 that I ahven't played Live in awhile. I definetly have to get back to finishing my season before 07 comes out.

The thing about 06 is that the Super Stars will actually kill you if you don't get the ball out of their hands. I also love how the CPU will come down on a fast break and pull up sometimes for a 3 point shot in transistion.

This was definetly the best version of Live EA has made so far IMO.

No doubt about it... I just had an AWESOME game Nets vs Nuggets.

I controlled VC and the Nets, and in the first half, the game was tight... we both got off to horrible shooting (it happens in Denver I guess)... and the first half ended 46-40 after Patterson hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to put the Nuggets up 6.

2nd half starts, and Vince Carter comes out on a tare. He started the half with 23 points... as he doubled it in the third, ending the third with 53 points on a variety of awe-inspiring facials and 3 pointers that left the crowd silent.

4th Quarter, we start out with the game tied at 76... and it goes back and forth the whole fourth quarter... Game is tied at 97 with 1:05 to go, and Demarr Johnson comes down in transition and nails the 3 Pointer. Carter came back with a 3 Point play of his own, the old fashion way.

With :23 left to go in the game, the Nuggets work the ball around to Carmelo Anthony, who had been relatively quiet (25 points), who dribbled the clock down to around :11 before spotting up and draining the deep 3 Pointer to give the Nuggets a 3 point lead, and would eventually be the game winning shot.

I went to VC for the final shot, but came up just short over top of Camby... as I fell 106-103. This was the greatest game that I have ever played. Bar none. It had everything. I think I recorded 2 of VC's dunks if you all want to see them. THere were a few more even more nasty ones, but I didn't get them.

Hey PM... do you know how to import your playbooks/defense into the game? I'm trying to read over on the NBA-Live.com forums, but there's so much going on over there that I can't understand it.

I'm torn.

I have the XBOX Live 06 and keep thinking after I read this that I could just fire that up and enjoy it.

Is the PC that much better? Should I seriously go down and pick it up since it's cheap?

I keep asking myself (bar the graphical and patch upgrades), it can't be that much better than the XBOX version can it?

Lol... you keep following me from version to version donkey... :y4: Neither one of us can settle on anything.

I didn't play the current gen version, but I am absolutely loving this. The amount of mods (TNT mod, music mod, which is awesome by the way, etc.) just pushes this game over the edge. I'm having some truly awesome games using my 360 controller... I'm loving it.

I haven't been able to play a season of any basketball game since NBA Live way back in 96. It wasn't even that good but that's the last game that could hold me for a whole season.

Had Live 05 on PC and was ok for about 10 games. Do I take the plunge and get 06 or will it be comparible to the XBOX experience?

I just want to play a full season of something damnit

How'd you get the 360 controller to work with the game. Can you give me some steps to get it to work because that would definately make this game even better. Also what level you playing on? Also, that music mod is nice it adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Yeah I scan over the threads and see if I can find it for you tommorrow. I know some guy created a file over there in that thread that allows you to save each teams offensive and defensive playbooks.

I'll look it up for you and post a link later....

I went to 3 Wal-Marts, Target, 2 Best Buys, CC and EB Games and still no luck...Online might be my best bet.

I totally agree.....

My girl doesn't doesn't like OS or any of these sports games. She thinks that it effects quality time not juts for her but for all females in a relationship or marriage.

She said Sports games are the worst thing about video games because now you have real life sports which she hates me watching all the time and then when a season is over there are always sports video games to take away time.

If it was up to her she said companies would make a game every 3-5 years so that there would be some down time away from these games....:y4:

My buddies have lady friends that feel the exact same way. They just don't understand it's an addiction for most of us. It's no different from them falling in love with these damn TV shows they watch all the time.
