Beluba...That's great to hear... I have two more questions...One of my biggest concerns with Live 09 and it was the dribbling system. The dribbling animations were horrid and not very fluid. An example is the spin move, it is way too slow, if you were playing basketball in real life and did a spin that slow you would most likely get stolen or give the defender enough time to plant his feet for a charging foul. Another one is the crossover, its looks very awkward and way too slow...The point of a crossover is too quickly crossover your direction not take your sweet time...lol. I hope that you guys recappture all the animations and add tons of variety to the system. And the other one is will you guys bring back the hop-step, side-hop, and bring along the Euro Step this year. I was very disappointed because when I play basketball, my favorite moves to do are the hop-step, side-hop, and the Euro Step. Also one last piece, can you guys put it all back on the Y Button, it feels very natural, an example for you guys. Press the Y Button once and you get a hop-step, move left or right and Y equals side-hop, and press Y Button twice does the Euro Step.

While your talkin about animations, are the crossover animations and blow by animations gonna be lookin less slow and awkward for next year? thats something i always liked about the 2k9, you could do a lot of different blow by moves can we expect that for live 10?

BiggD, we agree with you my man.

Small details help complete the experience. We're working hard on incorporating some of this stuff.

Beluba, will your game allow a user to bring the ball upcourt with Yao, Free Style to DEATH, spin, spin, dunk all game long? I am sure you know why I am asking. Gets on my damn nerves.....

are the man to man defensive controls being looked at?

also do you guys plan to have the same sort of interaction that Ian has pioneered in the Madden forums, with his weekley blogs and video clips and what not?

Haval, there are a number of cool things you can do as a perimeter player in Live 10 but I'm not ready to go into details on them just yet. You'll be happy to know that not a single dribble move animation is being kept from Live 09 and yes, there will be plenty of variety in the system.

yeah, we're improving man to man D. what specifically are you looking for?

as for the blogs, yeah we'll be rolling out a lot more info on the EA inside blog site as we get closer to release. there will be plenty of meat in them too so you guys will have a good picture of what we've been busy doing this dev cycle and will give you the chance to provide feedback as we finish up the game.

I think he didnt like the defender being glued to the offensive player so often which hindered more open court play and fast breks

Wow thats a serious overhaul I can't wait to see the new system implemented and get my hands on this game. I do hope it does make a return to PC in next gen to take on 2k's PC challenge.

Yeah... I didn't like that either. We've changed our onball defense significantly for Live 10. It will feel much less sucky (no pun intended) and more accurately reflect the 1-on-1 play of real life basketball.
