Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
Just some things taken from Mike Wang's Twitter:
- yeah player lock is fixed in the patch. when u turn on player lock in the controller settings, ai teammates don't do anything without your input. After patch, they will
- we tuned it a bit in the patch, but it's important not to overdribble in LIVE. Just make your move and get your shot off. (In response to: Dont know if you addessed this already, but please tell me u got a patch for turnovers in the paint, it's killin me online *smh*)
- yeah man. I'm still testing. I think we'll scale agility down for everybody but probably not everyone the same at 40 (In response to: Curious regarding your impressions of the 40 scale global player agility from OS forums. Tried it earlier. The game is smoother IMO.)

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
The stuttering on the ESPN streams = I couldn't care less about. IMO it's irrelevant.
CPU players walking out of bounds = important.
CPU players never kicking out after a rebound = important.
CPU players on 95% of the teams having zero awareness about fastbreaks and walking the ball up even when there's no defensders in front of them = important.
Sliding being much worse than LIVE 09 = important.
I am really hoping for big things with this patch. Not just another season of "hey fellas, if you look really closely you will notice the court in the practice academey now looks a bit more shiny" type patch...Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
If youve been a sports gamer a long time, and I know you have, you should know not to get your hopes up with the patches. Year after year, game after game, I get excited about patches and they NEVER turn out to be worth squat. Hopefully Live will be different this year.
Main reason = the demo was out very early this season and Beluba was already asking for patch ideas a month before the main game was released.
There's clearly issues with the game...so I'll be both surprised and dissapointed if EA don't address them with the patch.
Here's hoping anywayComment

Just a gut instinct...but I think they'll come up with something big for the patch.

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
2K have announced their patch details...and it's a monster. Covers tonnes of stuff.
http://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241487
This is what I am talking about when I say that EA need to step up...that's a LOT of details covered.
I don't see why EA can't have addressed things like time outs in their patch. If you want to compete, you need to step up.
The competion have listed details for a hell of a patch. Let's see EA do the same.
No more "next year fellas"...........Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
Why do you care whether or not EA releases details of it's patch right now? Stepping up means getting issues corrected and quite honestly I don't think there's tons of issues in the first place. By the length of the list of things to be patched in the other game it seems to me like there were more issues in need of being addressed. That list means nothing to me.Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
Co-sign pretty much everything Court has said throughout this thread.
Hopefully, the fastbreaks are addressed in the patch. Kinda dissapointed that TO's are not going to be patched though.
Also, I remember the Devs. saying early on, that they had programmed different CPU controlled players (other than the PG) to bring the ball up the court to start the offense this year.
I wonder what happened? Other players intiating the offenseive plays definately isn't in my version of Live10.
I really hope that this is the kinda fixes they focused on in the patch.Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
This whole post is kind of funny, as the devs have said multiple times that they would post the details of the patch shortly before they release it. Not sure why you'd waste time challenging them to post details. You know your requests have been acknowledged because the devs are ones who ask for the patch request threads. Speaking of which, most of this thread is stuff that has been discussed in the patch request thread which was closed because all there is left to do is wait for them to post the patch details and release the patch.Last edited by Tha_Kid; 10-20-2009, 08:27 PM.Comment
