Don't want to give a specific day or time (I see what you guys did to blackflash ) but when I find some time to type it up and there aren't a million things going on here we can discuss the shot mechanics and where we're at.

It is a good idea, and we did try it out. But as you suspected it was too difficult and forced you to think about the controls a lot more than you wanted to.

What we have feels much more natural.

I know people are worried about shots being too easy, but I can assure you that with two dimension available to tune with, we can make shots near impossible to hit if we want to.

It's balancing across player ratings, situations and difficulty level that is the challenge, but that is true for all games no matter what the control scheme is.

Oh, well that's good to hear. Like I said, it was just a suggestion, and seeing as how you've already tried it, it makes me feel a lot better about the final product.

Basic question. With the alternate button scheme. Will shoot be (on the 360) X like in 2k/Live 10, or B like every other EA BBall game in existence.

I asked this when the thread first started and you said it was too early to know which button would be used.

Has a decision been reached now?

Yes...but I don't know the answer. I never play with the button config.

The button config for 360 will have X as the shoot button, same as Live 10.

baww......it's more of a principle thing since 2k was always shoot with X/Square and Live was always B/O since the SNES days until Live 10

good thing I've been playing 2k on PC the past 2 years to get me used to analog shooting. Been shooting "up" since you guys first announced the analog controls as well to get used to it.

And I know that it does not fall under this category, but could you please get rid of pausing in Team Play, and add D-Pad subs? It is really the worst part about this amazing mode. It is really annoying that each team is allowed 2 30 sec. Pauses for each quarter, it slows the game down, and kills the atmosphere. Just make it so that if a user hits 'Start' a screen will pop up saying stay or quit. Also, bring back the All-Star teams for use on Team Play, I received confirmation a few months back from iminurbase, just did not want you guys to forget. LOL

I have a couple questions about bank shots. Lets compare say, Kevin Durant vs Shaq. With KD, he has a bigger sweet spot for a normal shot than Shaq. Would I have to angle the right stick farther to the side to get the proper bank angle with KD, then I would with Shaq, due to the sweet spot size difference?

Also, I think people might be able to make more bank shots with poor shooters than they would a regular shot, since they can just angle it and release with more power. Can you see if this is exploitable right now?

That one I'm still not sure of...it's been on and off now for a while.

it would add more depth simply because when your down and about to lose with .3 on the clock you would still have a chance. like when D Howard caught the ally-oop on Tim Duncan to win the game
