I was just going to ask. Why not? It is a part of the NBA and crucial for last second plays. Could this be added by an update or patch? And will players who have their sub called, finally get off of the bench and head to the scorers table? Thank you!

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
My question about inbounding is can we make it were point guard (like Nash) will actually be moving up court right away before the pass? In 10 the PG always seem to come back and want to catch the ball at a dead stop.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
It's just with all we're doing this year, features like this just didn't make the cut. We had to draw the line somewhere.
Could it be in a patch? Yeah, but I don't think it will be (although we haven't really started planning for that yet so who knows).
Personally, I'd prefer do leave it until next year and add it with a bunch of other cool inbounds options or something, but again, the plans haven't started for that either, I'm just speaking what's on my mind at the moment.Comment

Don't get me wrong, I think it would be a great feature and would love to have it.

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
Right now, no. I've discussed this a couple times, and it was also something brought up in one of the preview write ups and at the community day.
At the moment, pro hops/gathers and eurosteps cannot be slowed down or redirected by the defender. Every other move in the game can be.
This is something we plan or fixing before we ship. Gathers/Pro Hops and euros are being looked at in more depth in the next 2 weeks.
So right now, no. but it is in our plans and if everything goes smoothly I hope to come back and change that answer to a yes.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
I just added this fix yesterday.
If you do a pro hop or running gather directly into your opponent and you collide with him in the first part of the animation you will be deemed "out of control" and will be called for an offensive foul.
If you are traveling away from the hoop, either by steering into a euro step or doing a pro hop to the side or back, you're safe and cannot be called for the foul (unless you do it into someone who is taking a charge).
This seems to fix the problem quite nicely.Comment

OK, good...I was trying to remember what the original question was based on my answer. Now I know

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
rEAnimator, now I know that when moving towards the hoop that pushing up on the stick requests a player to dunk, but is it possible to limit this?
eg: I'm a Hawks fan, and we all know (and so do the player ratings) that Joe Johnson has the ability to dunk......... but he doesn't do it. I watch all hawks games, and I've probably seen him dunk say, 10 times or so in the last 5 years. NBA Live 10 does not reflect this very well. Any chances of fixing this in Elite?Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
Very disappointing. I mean it really is a necessity to have this. Players get injured in games, so this really does not offer a full NBA experience. Eghh, really thought it would be a lock this year.Comment
