Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
I heard this years game won't have turbo. Interesting if true. Basketball is a game of changing speed. I don't know how not being able to change your speed on command will be beneficial to the user.
It will be interesting to see how this is implemented without feeling cheated or not feeling like you have full control of your players on offense and defense.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
That sounds odd as far as user control. I wonder why they did this. IMO, this will be a problem and feel really weird. I'll check the demo to see how this works. Very interesting.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
Devs!!!! sup, is there anyway to get off a quick release shot?
Like say if there was only 0.7 tenths on the clock will you still have control or the time to make the shot, or will you have to let it go early and pray you get lucky?Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
When I came back into the office this week I had a game against Connor, I was up by 3 with .8 left on the clock.
He was able to get his 3 off in time, but missed. He did get enough power though.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
You'd have to release the stick early and hope for the best. There are no special controls. But the shot timing is tuned pretty well so it is possible.

But they definitely are.
Like I said in another thread, Litty wanted me to pass along the message that we'll be posting extended 5v5 footage next week once things have settled down a bit.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Controls (Offense and Defense)
It was the same last year and it was very intuitive and excellent. You could walk it up and put the defender to sleep and jam on the stick in the direction you want to go and leave the defender in the dust (this is online I'm talking about)Comment
