cosign 100%
and I never understood what that fun statement is all about.. Fun is so vague.
is it fun because its easy to pick up and play, is it fun because it isnt trying to be sim?
folks need to clarify.
what I get from the statement of "fun" is,- its fun because its not 2k, nothing more, nothing less.Comment

Inside Drive was an AMAZING game, also loved Coach K College Basketball too, as well as the David Robinson BB game.Comment

Re: NBA Live 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
I'm curious to see what the Day 1 patch will do. I was up at 4:30am this morning and went downstairs and fired this game up and I've come to the realization that I am a EA/Nba Live FANBOY. As much as I want to go with 2K for what most call "Sim" my heart makes me fire this up.
I'm not gonna go with someone else's Impressions any longer in regards to this game.
I PURCHASED I PURCHASED I PURCHASED. NBA LIVE 15 you've won me back!!!!! Fellows say this game is "Arcade" well hell I guess it is if you play it that way. If you play it "Sim" it yields "Sim" results.
2K15 is a helluva game but it goes back in the morning. I'm laying in bed with NBA LIVE 15 for Xbox One and my wife Amber of course.
Thank you EA for bringing me back to where B-Ball gaming all started for me with Lakers vs Celtics 1991 on Sega Genesis in Fresno, Ca. Oh how I've missed you!!!!
You're speaking the sentiments of many of us man. Good to hear you're enjoying.Comment

Re: NBA Live 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
I'm all about fun first and foremost...I say it constantly..I'm not going to play a video game I'm not having fun with....
With that said, this isn't an NBA JAM free for all basketball game...so I hold it to a different standard....its replicating 5 on 5 basketball...
So fun for me is going to include things like animating realistically, having the proper tools to play defense, and the A.I playing like their NBA counterparts. Having teams offense alternate between forcing offense with their PG and posting up (non posting) centers hurts the experience no matter how much fun I'm having.
These are the things EA needs to and I think want to improve on....hopefully once everyone picks Live up, the community will provide some real feedback so we can make the game better... We know it's not 2k, we know you're having fun, but how can Live improve? With Live reemerging as a solid game we have a chance to rebuild a quality community around it...Comment

Loving the game just like I thought I would. The game is just a lot of fun and I haven't gotten pissed off one time after playing the 6 hour EA Access. There's really areas for improvement and I've heard from a great source the Day 1 patch makes a huge difference in the game.
The contact shots in the paint go in a little too much for my liking. Sliders would help out, but I feel like sometimes sliders could ruin a game. IMO, I'm ok with no sliders becuase that gives me more play time. I don't have to worry about tweaking and tweaking the game.
Really looking forward to getting more into the game on Tuesday. WTF you were definitely right about this game. Its really good and will only get better. EA did some masterful things with 14. That game plays 100% different from what they released day 1.
Should be a fun year.Moderator

I feel you on the sliders. At first I was upset they weren't in, but then I realized I didn't have to spend all that time tweaking them and I can just enjoy the game for what it is.Comment

A little while ago I bid on a "Code/Key" off Ebay for the Xbox One version and it ended a few hours ago and I won the bid for $40. Just received the code via email and redeemed it so now I have the Digital retail copy.
My guess is I have have the Day 1 Patch right?? I never saw the prompt for it?Last edited by Flightwhite24; 10-26-2014, 10:05 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Have played the first couple of hours and thoroughly enjoyed it. As many have said, has some issues still but if EA can patch some of them like in Live 14, should be a solid title.
Initially I'm disappointed as I like it but without really fleshed out modes or edits/sliders, it put a dampener on it but the more I played it the more you think maybe edits/sliders are not required if they can get the balance right.
EDIT: Noticed during a time out all the defensive settings per player. Well it looked like they could be set per player which is really cool if possible and they work. Will have to spend more time looking at them.Comment

Re: NBA Live 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
There is no doubt I have the Day 1 Patch.
I'm on AS and some of the things the cpu is doing is pretty darn remarkable.
Just had LBJ get a pass from Kyrie out past the 3pt line and he starts to drive, I instantly call for a DT and Love pops out past the 3pt line and of course LBJ kicks it back out for the 3. I'm hoping I was able to capture it.
I had the key totally blocked and it's as if LBJ knew the only thing coming his way was a charge and he did what a real life situation smart high IQ player would do and that was to kick it to the open man. Drew the DT and then the kick. Amazing sequence. And by the way Love drained the 3
Also the 3pt's have been toned down as well as down low is not even close to being automatic.
EA is on to something if they keep this up.Last edited by Flightwhite24; 10-26-2014, 10:38 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Anyone want to try an online match? The only one I see that you can pick friends is the "Best of 7" but I just want to play a quick match against an OS member. I try and play as realistically as I can but I'm not that good so it could get out of hand early.PSN: PanicshadeLWK

Anyone that can win a game on the highest difficulty level has a ton of talent. I just played a game on the rookie difficulty, and gave up after the first quarter. I was out rebounded 14-6, and the cpu shot 55 percent to my 33 percent. Easily the hardest sports game I have ever played. Maybe next year EA. The moron that decided not to include sliders should be fired. Seriously.Comment
