You simply cannot go wrong with Nba Live's Dynasty Mode. It's simply the best and IMO blows ESPN out of the water.... It looks better, plays, better, is organized better, has more options that are ususful... ALthough, whats the deal with the box scores? If you save it, and reload it later, you can't view previous box scores??? Is it only when you're actively simming or playing that it recollects it into its memory??

I agree - NBA Live is awesome this year I actually liked it last year but with all the bugs in franchise mode and super pro hop, it detracted from the overall experience. I didn't like ESPN last year due but loved NBA 2K3.

Live this year fixes all the silly bugs from last year - including free agency, player progression, and feels like a real NBA game.

I'm very hap;py buying NBA Live this year. I haven't played ESPN, but I'm havin' too much fun with Live to play ESPN.

IN Dynasty Mode, can we view our teams stats, but the game averages? I see Total Points and games played.... Do i need to get my calculator out and do my own team stats per game?

From the main dynasty menu go to GM's desk then to Stats Central. All the stats u need will be there.

I dont see Team per game averages though.. can you guide me in that direction?

Oh u need teams, hmm... I don't have the game in front of me right know so I'll have to wait to answer that. But I thought under team stats. It would show per game if u push the d-pad to the right.

Like in the player stats menu. U can move over to the right and it would show u all the per game averages.

I agree! I played both game on PS2, NBA Live 2005 is a sim and it plays better basketball than 2K5 in my opinion, and the ASW is just awesome, the best game mode in any sports game I've ever played. Unfortunately Live05 PS2 version is so blured that I can't play dynasty mode, I am waiting for the PC version to start my dynasty.

I've been a 2K fan for years, but I just don't like ESPN NBA series. Listen VC, if you just go back to the gameplay and controls of NBA 2K2, with the graphic, sound effects and camera views of ESPN NBA 2K5, even without something called 24/7 or Association, I am willing to pay $50 for this game.

I am going to play NBA Live 2005 and Dreamcast NBA 2K2 (3 years in a row now) this year.

i purchased them both the day they came out and didn't enjoy espn at all. i used to love the series but they've dissapointed me two years in a row. live is a much better game imo.

Same here, Live has been my favorite of the two. I pick'd them both up and now ESPN has a mound of dust on it
