This pretty much happens majority of the possessions for the CPU:

Pick n roll. Pass it to the corner. Pass it to the post. Pass it back to the corner or up top. Mindlessly dribble in place for 10 seconds. Jack up a 3 with 1 second left on the shot clock. Saw the CPU play like this on Superstar, All Star and Pro. Hell I even watched a CPU vs CPU game on Superstar and BOTH TEAMS were doing this.

I noticed the AI will play good for 1 quarter, then the rest of the 3 quarters they just do mindless brain dead things. When I watching the CPU vs CPU game I was just thinking to myself what the hell are they waiting for ? Why are they just dribbling in place wasting the shot clock like that ? I also noticed the CPU don't exploit mismatches in the NBA game at all. Many times Curry and Boogie switched. I thought ok Kyrie going to ghost Boogie. Nope, he passed it to the corner. Next possession, same switch. Thinking clearly he going to pass it to the post. Nope passed it to the corner again. Curry would do the same thing when Kyrie and Hortford switched.

Just don't understand this brain dead AI. Like I said for 1 quarter they will play lights out. Then the rest of the 3 quarters nothing. Hell I even saw the CPU bigs in perfect position under the basket, dribble out 8 feet and do a fade away jumper. Like what ??? Why ???? It is like if the CPU don't get hot, they are brain dead and don't know what to do.

Looking forward to see what the EA Access do. Maybe the AI will be better then. This demo is a 6 out of 10. Going strictly by the NBA part. I don't play The One type modes. This build might be 2 months old, who knows. Definitely not liking seeing both teams play the same.

Okay so I'm buying Live this year over 2K. Still has bugs to work out for sure, but the presentation, soundtrack, The One mode, new physics engine, overall strides and no microtransactions deserve our support. People need to look at progress for this game over last couple years and try to understand how hard it is to rework a game year to year. Thank God Live is chipping away at 2k's dominance. 2K has gotten lazy AF year by year and worse and worse. The microtransaction scandal last year was game breaking.

Long story short, Live isn't perfect but it may be the most fun game by far going forward, starting this year. The One is WAY better than My Career and this year having all of these legend paths was a BRILLIANT idea. Adds huge replayability with all of the archetypes and lets you play like many of your favorite legends.

PS. Has anyone figured out how to activate Iverson's trait? It says scoring unlocks it... yet it never gives me the boost. I randomly got it once and not sure how.

Well I think the live needs to just skip the NBA portion and lose the license therefore making a Streetball on the game since that were people seems to like it's nowhere close to 2K and isn't chipping away at it yet without basic improvements to the actual NBA mode since that is with the licenses for. They want to get 2K kids to buy but they're going about it the wrong way but it's their business I already pre-ordered 2K 19 so I can play in a league with my friends

Really starting to get the feel for play now Games.
I'm Enjoying it a little more Then last night. One thing I notice is The AI plays a much more well rounded game than 18. There's finally a mid range game and a little bit more motion.

The one thing I hope for though is that When the full game comes out and I pause the game and put my Xbox X to sleep That when it comes back on the game picks up where it left off like it does in the demo

if you're not going to have a save feature you absolutely have to be able to revive it from sleep and pick up mid game. Last Game Live 18 whenever you paused it for a period of time it log your gamertag out with some obnoxious message and made you abort the game that you were playing.

I really hope that doesn't happen again in 19 ...Also Xbox X graphics are beautiful I think the player models are really well done I agree not quite as much detail but the floors are amazing and they really make a difference

Any reason you can't select the player you created? It's giving me default character and the character select is locked.

Up and down demo for me. There's moments where the game shines, but others where it reverts back to old, bad habits.

The game looks great. Mid-range jumpers are there, and so are contested shots. I am seeing an awful lot of blow-by animations for HUM and ÇPU. Commentary has potential, and should sound better when they add content during the season.

Last year, the demo convinced me to buy Live. Can't say the same this year.

Demo is fun!!! The improvement in the overall fluidity of the game is amazing. Live is a improved Franchise mode away from being my only b-ball game I purchase

that commentary/play by play cant be the final build. that's like ps1 commentary.

If you’d like several minutes of stories that get repeated over and over again you know which game to buy.

Only a shill would honestly say Live’s commentary is PS1 quality.

To say it is worse than last year is simply false.

As someone who literally platinumed the last two Live games I have heard the commentary over and over and can tell you that 19 is technically better in every way possible.

I hate the whole “entitled” argument when it comes to simply asking for a better product, or being forced into a mode you don’t care about. You’re damn right I’m going to be entitled if I’m handing out $60 for a video game.

I don’t see where the “forced into” anywhere. Why don’t you create your own game and maybe you can sell that for more than $60?

I had a ton of time w retail the last 2 days. It feels better than the demo. Superstar against the CPU is TOUGH. I had the Wolves against the Lakers, and it was an insane defensive battle. I was locked up. But I was able to hold them pretty well for the most part too, except Bron.

I fly out tomorrow morning, but I'll try to give some in depth impressions Sunday.

After my time tonight I’m actually quite excited. Had some really good play now games.

The cpu was calling timeouts in very appropriate situations.

I was actually getting some open looks tonight.

The plays started clicking with me. It’s just super important to follow the play exactly you can’t deviate at all or they break down.

The cpu was taking mid range shots all over the place. It was beautiful.

Gotta get past the honeymoon phase but there is a chance that I may really love this game.



Also did last year have the EA sideline camera option? I don’t remember it but it was my favourite angle in 16. And then I feel like they took it out and brought it back this year. I could be wrong though. Either way I love that angle.

How did you get to play the full game? If you really did is franchise mode solid or still like broken.
