Anyway, I'd like to see where the same individuals making the same points I am are "tweaking rosters/sliders into February."

I think Sonic adressed the other responses capably. If you read my reply, you'd see I agree with him.

Look...I know you love this series to the point of semi worship. That's fair enough. But it's a decade old basketball series and there's still basic flaws like fast breaks not working. A decade is a long time bro. I should know,having played them all since Lakers v C's

The series hasn't evolved to anywhere near the level of the football series. Sad, but true.

Again, I am probably beating my head against a wall here. EA knows the football market is more "mature", so I guess that's why they get a better game. Can you even imagine if they gave the football crowd a game without play books...

I don't think this has anything to do with matters. I am so much a video game fan that I have made them my career and so much a basketball fan that it occupies the rest of my time. I don't think that really enters into it, being a fan or not a fan of either.

It does make a difference Sonic. Ie, Pro Evolution Soccer fans tend to be football purists. Conversely, FIFA fans tend to be video game players with only a casual interest in the sport. Thus the different style of games. Same thing really with LIVE, where most players seem pretty casual fans of basketball. More into the fashion than the sport. (That's a large share of the NBA market though since it went 'hip hop').

Thus the different style of games. Same thing really with LIVE, where most players seem pretty casual fans of basketball. More into the fashion than the sport. (That's a large share of the NBA market though since it went 'hip hop').

Semi-worship..? It's a good game, yet you continually focus in on the few flaws. When have you ever posted anything that can even remotely resemble praise for the game and it's positives? The only thing close to that was on release day, when you found out O-boards were fixed....

Anyway, don't get me started on how long the series has been out, b/c I dealt with that and EA's horrid baseball series up until recently. I prefer a game that can be tweaked to be realistic, which is why I always liked HH for baseball until it's demise, the ESPN football series this year as soon as they added proper running momentum, and CHoops, for friggin' sake. But I'm not going to do as you say and "beat your head against the wall" b/c the series doesn't get the attention the football title does. NO sport does, aside from soccer, by a company who has been making soccer games for close to a decade as well. But that's been their sole title.

If you know the series won't have a major upgrade until the next gen titles then you steer clear, or provide input in a manner that's effective, and doesn't come off as whining. I've posted ideas before, and I'm not going to reiterate it again, as there's no reason for it.

I'm both, if you care so much. Being that basketball has been so horrible here in NY in the past 4 years, I see no reason to discuss the Knicks.... I'd rather follow the Giants, then Spring Training and baseball. To sit through and watch the Knicks at this point is pure torture. If you care so much, look at my comments from All Star weekend.

And as Sonic said, it doesn't really have anything to do with it. We're not comparing NBA Jam here.

I'm both, if you care so much. Being that basketball has been so horrible here in NY in the past 4 years, I see no reason to discuss the Knicks....
