Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I still have my other legacy going, but I decided to start yet another one. This one is with the Central Arkansas Bears. I checked them out online and they are 8-1 so far which is fairly decent. Decided to give them a shot and see what I can come up with. Maybe get a decent mid major offer from them.

We'll see how it goes. I lost by 20 to Kentucky. Going to start a game now against Jacksonville St. Gotta start out 1-1 and land some decent recruits. I'm going after the Arkansas Mr. Basketball. Get him and I'll be set for one goal.

Haven't really seen what my team has for weapons yet. I guess I'll find out in this game.

so i started one with Geogetown knowing i would probably dominate the first year and then be a rebuilding project as all the top players will be graduating and i win the first game and then lose to michigan by 18...looks like i wont be as dominating as i thought o well it was still fun

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I have 2 games left in my 1st season with Dartmouth. I just beat Columbia away with a come from behind 5 point victory...capped by D. Mosley's 3 pointer from the corner to seal the game. My last two games are against Yale and Brown and I'm currently 18-7.

In the bracketology section I am projected to be a 13th seed in the South...playing Utah. Not sure if the Ivy League bug will bite me...I hope not. I know I don't have much of a chance in the Big Dance but it would be nice to go.

I was 4-6 going into the conference schedule with North Florida, but I've run off three straight wins to open the conference so I'm 7-6. Hopefully it'll continue that way.

First year at UNF. Went 1-9 out of conference with the lone win against FAU. Then I just had a total turn around when it mattered and I'm going 8-5 in conference. I'm in 4th, but 2 teams ahead of me have played an extra game and are 9-5 while Campbell is 9-4. Hopefully I can go deep into the conference tourney.

Did anyone else have this problem? I made it half way through my dynasty and had a lot of close games including a loss to a worse team on the way but now I am a much better player and my current sliders no longer give me the challenge that I want game in and game out. I am now forced to totally revamp my slider set and difficulty level. I am pretty sure that I will just start my dynasty over again after I nail in a slider set. I am going to make them slightly more difficult then what I can play to this time so there is some growing room. Anyone else run into this problem? How did you all solve this issue? I think changing sliders mid season or mid dynasty taints the statistics to the point of now being useless.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Well I made the tourney with Dartmouth as a 12th seed. Finished 20-7 (12-2) and was on the only Ivy League team to go. I've never been so excited for the NCAA Tourney show...which by the way I can't get over how in depth it is. Anyways my excitement was somewhat burst when I got the points for making it to the tourney before the show started!

I used the rosters from OS via 2kshare and Heelfan's sliders with my own tweaks. Changed 3-4 sliders up or down 2-4 points depending on how I felt the game should play.

Overall it was a great first season. I love this game and enjoyed every minute of it...even the 7 losses. Now I have to play Fordham who is a pretty talented 5th seed. Hopefully I can make a game of it. I'll post back later and let everyone know how it went.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Well Darthmouth was 1 and done in the tourney. Fordham shot 37% from the field which I thought was a great accomplishment. We played a tight 3-2 zone and didn't give them many open looks. The problem was we shot 35% from the field. My best player and later to be named Ivy League Player of the Year...SG Mosley went 0-11 and finished with 4 points. He didn't have any 0-fer the whole season. What a time to not show up.

The problem was they had an 88 rated PF who dominated me when I came inside. He had 5 blocks I believe. I have had blocks at 40 on the sliders the whole season and it felt right. My guys were able to penetrate and get up some good shots in the lane...today nada. Also the beast from the east kept getting offensive rebounds and my guys had absolutely no push against him in the paint trying to back down.

I only ended up losing by 5 I believe...but I didn't really have a shot at the end. I think my biggest lead was 1 the whole game. Surprise of the tourney though...Fordham as a 5 seed won the National Championship. I guess we scared them into playing better.

I got two 3* recruits and one is already by best dunker and 3 point shooter. A 6'6 SF...is going to be fun to play with. The standing dunk is 0 (from the glitch) but he threw it down twice in my first game vs. Buffalo so not sure what standing dunk really means. Also Mosley did his usual...21 points...4-8 from behind the ark. The computer scheduled us vs. Illinois, Marquette, and Kansas though in the first 10 games and I kept them just for a challenge...even though I have no chance to win. They are all ranked 85+ and I'm at 69 right now. Should be a fun year though. I have 5 scholarships this season and have a bunch of 3* and two 4* interested.

Do you mean they won the Conference tournament and not the overall NCAA championship? I hope so cause Fordham as national champs doesnt seem right.

When starting a legacy what should i put the difficult level at? should I start wit the difficult level at All American or should I raise it as my players get better or I go to a better team.

Nope they won the whole thing...the N.C. I was in the NCAA Tourney, they beat me, won the rest of their games, and won it all. Surprised me as much as anyone.

Edit...I'm now 5-4 in season #2 but I just wanted to say I just found this game gets pretty in depth. Looking at the conferences via the Around the NCAA you can check out every conference with past champions, past award winners, top players, etc. It's pretty cool that the game keeps all that. Also I really enjoy the trophy room where you can see your team leaders and award winners for season upon season. I wish NCAA football would have something like that. Also the team screen gives your offensive/defensive percentages vs. the NCAA, and all sorts of information that I would never use but is cool to look out. I'm also enjoying the background on my recruits. Right now my 6'6 swingman freshman is rated the top freshman in the conference and is playing his heart out. He is averaging over 15 PPG and just put up 29 against NAU in the tourney I'm in right now. I got pounded by Marquette, Illinois, and Duquesne, and lost a close one to Santa Barbara but it's been a tough schedule. I still have to play Kansas and Cincinnati before the regular season kicks off. I guess after I made the tourney some teams added me as a way of getting a win off a higher ranked cupcake!

I didn't want to edit my edit on the last post but wanted to add a question.

About how long does it take to get a coaching offer at a better school? Right now I'm about a third of the way through season 2 but would like to get at least to a mid major by the end of season 3. Having recruiting battles for 2* and 3* players will get old after a while.
