Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

started new legacy with Monmouth. 0-1 after losing 64-48 against Colgate. Now playing an 84 ovr Seton Hall team. my team is like a 64 ovr. we are only shooting 25 % currently. lol this is gonna be a long season...

I am not that good at this game. Had to go back to starter difficulty from all conference difficulty due to having issues shooting the ball, no matter what team I played with.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started a new career legacy with Buzz Killings taking over as coach of Morehead State. Still using my same format as before, so simulating regular season and conference tournament games, only recruiting during that time, and playing post season tournaments.

First season finished a game under .500. Second season went on a hot streak in the conference tournament and got the autobid as a 16 seed before losing to 'Nova by about 25. I think my record was 17-15. Next season I just missed out on the tournament, losing in the conference finals, record was 16-15. Next season was again 16-15 but lost in the conference semis.

I don't know what happened after that but recruiting just stopped. 3 stars stopped looking at me and even 2 stars were getting taken. With the offseason of season 4 coming up I actually haven't signed anybody the last two years, because to me signing one stars is kinda worthless. So I have six scholarships open and I'm a little scared about getting kids to commit now even. I thought moving to a more populous region would help (My local region is KY, TN and southern Ohio) but I didn't account for the fact that there's more schools in those regions who are also fighting for those recruits. I really thought about leaving to another school but decided to give it one more season. If I get lucky this offseason I have about six scholarships to give out and some decent recruits offered. If not, I may actually try a more rural school again, or go out west to a California school.

now 0-4 with Monmouth. just lost 73-72 to Saint Peters. my SG was my top scorer going 7-17 for 14 points. big men couldn't hit layups. I was winning by 10+ for over half the game but the last 3 minutes Saint peters went on a 10-2 run that put them back in it

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Got through a few more years of my Morehead State legacy. Turned it on in the conference tournament to make the tournament as a 16 seed at 16-15, but got blown out by Xavier to end the year. The next season the center I recruited at 7'0 grew to 7'2. He paired up with my hot shot guard to roll through conference play and win the regular season crown. Unfortunately I fell in the semifinals, missing the NCAA tournament but earning an automatic bid to the NIT.

First game: Ohio State. I found myself down early because they started out 6-7 from three point land. I made way back in it by going down low. Then in the second half my shooting guard Reynolds starts to hit everything and kept me in the game. They keep a steady 5-7 point lead until the final minute when I go on a mini run to cut the game to 2. With 3.2 seconds left they miss a free throw and I call timeout. The inbounds pass was from the opposite free throw line, I get it to Reynolds at the half court line and try to attack but the defender is playing tight. With 1 second left I have to pull up from 30 feet and just try to get it off from time. As it rattles in I win the game 65-64, Reynolds finishes with 28 points. But maybe the coolest thing was an animation I hadn't seen before, and that was an Ohio State player laying face down on the floor like he was crying.

I won the next game against UC-Santa Barbara and met with South Carolina in the quarter finals. I had the lead after the first half but they came out with a strong attack and I went down by double digits. Reynolds was cold and couldn't hit a thing, but in the last minute I brought a guy off the bench and he hit four threes. But the one he missed was the most important, and I lost by 3.

The next season I made the NCAA tournament again by coming up big in the conference tournament. I was a 14 seed and faced USC. It didn't go well. I started the game down 12-0 and was down 39-14 at half. Ended up losing 73-49, and it was only that close because I brought a senior off the bench for the final two minutes and he went 5-7 and 3-4 from three point land for 13 quick points.

i'm in my 8th season at IU... chasing my 3rd title and first since my 3rd season.. i'm currently 33-1 and in the Elite 8 with a matchup vs Oklahoma. This is the best team i've had on this game. 96 overall. i've got 4 seniors tho so next year should be a bit of a rebuild year, but i have several amazing freshy's being redshirted and a freshy point guard that starts and averages 9 points 5 assists per game. My only Junior starter is a 6'8 SF and is 90 overall, hopefully he doens't go pro or else he'd be an AA and possible POTY next season for me. Nobody can stop him from getting to the rim.
My senior SG averages 19ppg and hits 48% of his 3's.
Senior C averages 15 and 10 and 3 blocks per game.
My team is stacked.. should be cutting down the nets here soon

Just lost in the championship to Maryland..
They shot 70% and hit 8/11 3's.. they had to tho, their tallest guy was 6'5...

THeir SG put up 34 on us including a 3 pointer with 4 seconds left to make it 68-66 .
good season, wasted tho down the stretch.

Shouldn't have spoke so soon... I've lost in the title game and it is not a good feeling at all. It's like being kicked in the balls.

That was my 2nd loss built up North Florida early on in my career and lost in the Championship game .. i think that was season 6...
I thought there was no way I was going to lose lol. I was so dominant all year long, they just didn't miss anything. It was disappointing. I'd givin up 50ppg all year long and they put up nearly 20 over that
oh well.. i'll be back next year solid recruits and players.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Finally left Morehead. I couldn't take it anymore. Won six straight conference championships, made the NCAAs in five of those, but could never get a seed better than 11. I only signed one 4-star recruit, and my conference RPI was so bad that even the year I went 30-3 (18-2) in the regular season I was only ranked for a week before dropping out after TWO WINS; I didn't even lose that week and still dropped out.

I tried moving to Minnesota a couple seasons back but another coach got the call. After this past season my best player was graduating so I decided it was probably time to leave too. Took the job at Duquesne, who went 6-21 last year. The A-10 has also become a dominant conference like they did in my last Legacy so this will be a challenge.

Anyone know all the ways to get a coaching point?
                        I know there's:
                        Coach of the Year
                        Player of the Year
                        Get a Player Drafted
                        Sign a World Player
                        Sign a 4 star
                        Sign a 5 star
                        Sign a Mr. BB
                        Sign an AA
                        Make the NCAA Tournament
                        Get 10 (or 20?) wins
                        Get 200 career wins
                        Get 800 career wins
                        Move to a larger conference
Move to a power conference (I feel like this one should earn 2 if the last one wasn't earned, it's not too fair to not earn a point because you made it to the B1G without going to the A10 first)
Then from what I did with Northwestern in my last legacy I know you get points for advancing to certain rounds or winning the NCAA tournament, but do you get any for the NIT?

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just finished year 1 of my career legacy with Sacramento State on coach mode. Ran through the conference schedule and the tournament and ended up with a 7 seed in the NCAA tournament. First game was against St. Louis and pulled off the win to advance to the second round. Got really lucky and the 15 seed beat the 2 seed so I played Miss. Valley State in round 2. Knocked them out and moved on to the sweet 16. Sweet 16 game was against Boston College and led by 1 or 2 for most of the game up until the end where they took control. Wasn't able to come back and lost by about 7. The whole season was live or die by the 3 and it just wasn't sinking that game. Still stoked as hell to have gotten to the sweet 16.

Offseason recruiting I pulled in 4 recruits. Two 3 stars and two 2 stars. The 3 stars were a PF and C and the PF is already the best player on my roster haha. The center is my next highest rated big man but I have him coming off the bench this next season since my C from last year is returning and he led the NCAA in offensive rebounds and averaged 11 and 11 for the season. The two star recruits weren't much help but one will get playing time being my only backup SF. About to start the first game of my 2nd season should be a good year!

What was your record and conference RPI? How did you get a 7 seed? In my last two legacies at small schools the best seed I was able to pull off was a 9 with North Dakota State, and that was after like ten seasons. I went 30-3 one season with Morehead and still only got an 11 seed.

26-4 going into the tournament. Finished #42 in the RPI I believe.
