I'll answer the second question, I think the highest (the highest average) I've seen was possibly 93-94. I'll check one of my spreadsheets. I wish the game actually had stricter player play styles, instead of the loose generated ones.

Edit: I just checked, the highest in my spreadsheets where 94. Highest average was around 91-92.

Awesome thanks. I only play coach mode, but I have figured out I can control the 3 point shooting on my team with the 3 point tendancy and weave out the guys that shoot mass 3's. I am getting a realistic average of my team to around 15-20 3 pointers a game.

I'm trying to figure out how low I want to go with allowing guys to shoot 3s. My minimun is 60 but I lower their tendancy to around 5 and my best players I raise obviously, never exceeding 50 for 3 point tendancy. Everyone else I just put at 1.

Just need to find a good forumal for giving a player a tendancy based on his 3 point shooting ability, and the yearhe is in school. I've only seen a high of 85 but haven't really paid attention to across the NCAA before so have no idea what the possibility is with the generated recruits.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Here's what I do with players and their 3pt tendencies. I do these when they're freshman.

        If they're 84+ I put their tendencies at 84.
        If they're ~79-83 I put their tendencies at 75

Go to the roster and go to the 3pt ratings sort them by lowest to highest, if a player's 3pt rating is C- (I view them by grades, you can use numbers after you do this) or lower, I make set their tendencies to ~20 or lower. C's and non shooting PF's get zeros for tendencies.

I learned the last bit from someone, possibility jukeman, doing this opens up more shots everyone on teams.

My 3pt tendencies are very loosely put together. I cams up with it a longtime ago, and never really decided on a concrete method.

i don't believe you get coaching accomplishments and coaching points in an open legacy.

You get points, but usually people don't significantly lower their attributes or play at smaller schools, so I don't know how much pts you'd get on a yearly basis.

You get 40 years, there are a totally of 60 points to get when you take everything away, and I am seeing you can get 2 points a year for a really good year, so in a perfect world I can have all A+ by the time I'm in my 31st year.

The Michigan State job came open, and it's one of my two favorite schools and I've never had the chance to get that job in a closed legacy before. So I decided to jump ship. However, I had a couple more 20-win seasons at Northeastern before taking off.

2025-26: 26-7 with another first round exit in the NCAA's.
2026-27: 24-10 and a bid in the NIT. I lost in the second round.
2027-28: 25-7 and I finally broke through with my Huskies to the Sweet Sixteen. It took me until my 21st season to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament.

My total run with Northeastern totaled a 190-88 (0.683 winning percentage). However, since the 2022-23 season, I had a record of 147-46 (0.762).

My former school, South Dakota State, continued their dominance of the Summit. After back-to-back seasons without a regular or conference tournament title in 2023-24 and 2024-25, South Dakota State went 28-4 (18-0) and 21-9 (16-2) to win back-to-back conference titles in the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons. They did not with either titles in 2027-28 season. They limped to an 18-12 season in 2027-28. Doyle Homan, a 53-year-old is in his fourth season at the helm with an overall record of just 242-299, but has, for the most part, continued the success at SDS.

As for Bubba Souffrant, the man who originally took over for me at South Dakota State, he's still going strong at Rhode Island, coming off of a 24-13 season. He is now 50 and boasts a 207-94 record, good for a 0.688 winning percentage. He is searching for his first A-10 regular season or conference tournament title.

Souffrant left for the Rams and was replaced by Jackson Arline. He went 23-9 at San Diego State last season and is 47 years old. At South Dakota State he held a record of 60-8 when he left. He's gone 125-48 in his six seasons at the helm at San Diego State, good for a 0.722 winning percentage. Overall, he's 185-56 (0.768) at just 47 years old. In eight seasons as a head coach, he's averaging 23 wins and 6 losses per year. If he keeps up that average and coaches until he's 65, he's looking at another 414 wins and 108 losses, which would put him at 599-156 (0.793) for his career. Not bad!

As for Northeastern, they hired Elmore Gogerty, a 46-year-old who comes to the Huskies with a 57-53 overall record and a B rating, though it's not distributed too well. He's at a A- for offense, A+ for teaching, B+ for discipline. He's just a C+ for charisma and scouting and a C for defense. It'll be interesting to see what caliber of recruits he pulls in.

Finally, for the Spartans, Richard Harrison's new team, they've won two of the last four regular season and conference tournament titles (2024-25 and 2027-28) and have seven scholarships available. There's a big chance to put my stamp on the Spartans roster immediately. They're coming off of a 29-5 record -- 14-4 in conference play -- and I think an average of 25 wins every year in East Lansing is not a lofty goal.

                On to the games!
A few more seasons in the books!

2028-29: 26-8, second round exit in the NCAA's. A 14-4 conference record was good enough for first place, but I was bounced early in the conference tourney. Penn St. picked up the auto bid.
2029-30: 18-11. I limped to a mid-pack finish in the Big Ten and missed both the NCAA and NIT. I'm looking to rebound in the 2030-31 season.

This brings my record with the Spartans to 44-19 (0.698). Overall I sit at 483-236 (0.672).

As for my previous school, the Northeastern Huskies, I reported that they hired Elmore Gogerty, a 46-year-old whose record sat just four games above .500. That didn't matter. He went 37-1 and won the National Title in the '28-29 season. He followed it up with a 24-9 season in his second year. His two years at Northeastern give me the 'what ifs', but I feel a sense of pride for building a ship that Gogerty could steer to a national title.

Those two seasons provided a springboard to the Big XII where he took over Texas A&M. His record sits at 118-63 (0.652) and he's 48 years old.

His replacement is William Dowling. He came to Northeastern with a 69-106 record at 48 years old. I don't remember the school he coached at prior, however. He's a B-overall coach with amazing charisma (A-) but terrible scouting (D). Aside from recruiting, his strengths lie in teaching and discipline.

Other coaches we've been following include Bubba Souffrant, who replaced me at South Dakota State. Souffrant turned that into a gig at Rhode Island. He's entering his 10th season at the helm of the Rams, boasting an overall record of 243-118 (0.673). His squads have hit a bit of a down couple of seasons, going 17-15 and 19-9 over the last two seasons. His job remains beyond safe and he's put in quality decade, winning 190 games and losing 106 (0.642) in the A-10.

The man who replaced Souffrant at South Dakota State was Jackson Arline. He was a young coach with a clean record who crushed in Brookings, South Dakota to the tune of 60-8. He landed at San Diego State, where he's been for eight seasons. Now 49-years-old, he is coming off of a 25-9 record last season and has won two regular season conference titles -- both in his first two seasons as the bench boss -- two conference tournament titles. His latest tournament title victory came just last season over Utah, who won the Mountain West with a 13-3 conference record. Jackson Arline has put up a great 172-68 (0.717) record at San Diego State.

As for my first stop, South Dakota State, they've won a couple regular season and tournament titles since the Souffrant-Arline days under Doyle Homan. Homan is in his first year at Oregon at 55 years old. Running the Jackrabbits now is A.C. Anthony. He comes to South Dakota State with a career 255-370 (0.408) record. At 59-years-old, Anthony is looking to reinvent himself and restore his coaching resume. Coaching one of two teams in the Summit League above 70 -- 76 for South Dakota State, 72 for Southern Utah -- is a good way to rack up some wins and move back up the coaching ladder.

Is there a way to tell what your recruiting ranking is? Not sure if it's supposed to be on the top of the scroll list, but the teams at the top don't necessarily look like they are in order of ranking of what you would think based on their commitments.

Pretty sure it only comes up at the end of the season. And I don't think there is a number assigned.

In closed legacy the game gives you a point for having the #1 ranked recruiting class. At the end of the offseason when you advance to the recruiting class screen whatever team is listed first is the game's #1 recruiting class for that season and just count from there since the list isn't numbered. Make sure you don't sort the list though because if you do then you'd have to restart to get the correct rankings.

No, there really isn't. It's just a general list of recruits. You could just list it by 5* and kind of get a general idea of a "ranking".

I do coach mode so I'm trying to see what I would be looking for in attributes if anyone knows?
