Now see, I've seen in this thread at the beginning that guys are saying if you have a sunday game you're unable to recruit for that week. I'm not having that problem, I can still recruit with sunday games but I've noticed that if you have three games in a particular week you're unable to dish out any recruiting points.

Anyone notice this too?

I noticed that recently too. I was afraid that the game glitched up on me, because I've never had that happen to me before, not that I can remember.

If you have a game on Sunday do not schedule a campus visit that week, it will glitch.

Yea I found out the hard way on this one. Pretty sure I lost out on a key recruit because of this.

I always thought that if u had a game on Sunday and u scheduled a visit, the recruit came to watch the game lol smh

Maybe the recruit goes to the women's game instead because you don't get credit for the visit and you lose it. So you can't bring them back in for another one. It's a killer if you aren't careful and you have a heated recruiting battle with another school.

I'm back on the 2k8 train and playing a ton every day...

So many things I had forgotten from not playing, but this thread has been a MAJOR help.


Its amazing how many years later how awesome this game is and how it still is able to control my life once I pick up the controller.


There's really nothing else like it.

I don't think so, but I guess I never really looked at that....


Give me a couple hours and I'll check between tournament games, as I have done a TON of conference realignment work.

Does anybody have a link to a thread that provides help on using the play creator? I want to find if there is a better way to pace the plays. It seems like instead of running the plays one step at a time all the steps basically happen at the same time. Help would be much appreciated.

Still can't get over playing in my Wake Forest legacy against Duke in the ACC tournament and having the fans chant "NOT OUR RIVALS!" not once but twice during the game. Must've inspired the guys since we handled the Dukies by 14.

I've gotten so rusty regarding the ins and outs of this game the last few years, wondering if anyone can help.

I fired up my UConn dynasty again and have been beating my head against the wall regarding contact in the lane when driving to the hoop. I know there was always a lot of it in 2K8 but it never pissed me off this much. Maybe it's because I'm used to 2K15 and the great gameplay there.

The animation where your guard has a wide open path to the basket, a defender comes over and mugs you and the ball just sort of goes up in the air. No foul, no whistle. Your guy goes falling to the ground and the CPU grabs the loose ball and is off on a fast break.

I'm not talking about when you're trying to force things or the lane is crowded. This is when you're wide open and the help D rotates (ahem, morphs) over and clubs your player.

Is there anyway to get rid of this or at least limit it? Crank up the foul slider?

I was playing a nailbiter against Florida last night and it happened to me three times in the second half and would have cost me the game if I had actually finished it. I threw my controller for the first time in probably eight years and then shut off my 360 I was so heated.

Just throw one together in the play creator, pretty simple action to create though it probably won't work that often because guys don't run hard enough off screens in 2K8.

Yeah, tried that...even setting back screens didn't work well enough to get the guy to roll to the goal without some disturbance.
