I think the team has to have an overall rating under 70 to be a closed legacy starting option. It's been awhile so I could be wrong, but pretty much just lower the ratings on your loaded roster for the team you want and they should be available

Just piggybacking off of this it would be easier to go to the team's roster that you want to use and switch the starting line-up to the worst players on the team. That should be enough to change the overall rating for the team. That way you wouldn't have to lower player ratings and try to remember them when going into the legacy.

I too am interested in this. Wouldn't it just make a coach more likely to leave?

That's the way I've always understood it. I've always figured it was best to hire assistants with low ambition so that they'll stay long-term. Maybe I'm wrong, however.

It supposed to be by pressing the shotstick towards the baseline when you're driving baseline (so parallel to the baseline).

Broadcast Cam: Left/right depending on which end of the floor you're at.

I've played this game since it was released & have always assumed that your assistant coaches remained at their current rating forever. However, I think I just saw one of my assistants go from a B- to a B rating at the end of the season.


Am I seeing things or do they progress also?

I love this thread to pieces. I have a quick question though--how do I get the opposing teams to play something besides man-man? Especially in legacy mode. Thanks!

If you are in a closed legacy there is nothing you can do. However, if you are in an open legacy you can go to Around the NCAA, Teams, Coaching, and then change the coaching settings for every team including defensive strategies. Also you can do the same thing in the main menus and bring that into a closed legacy.

I personally wouldn't recommend having the CPU play anything other than man, though, as they tend to play terrible zone defense, particularly in the 2-3 zone. Threes are open too often.

Yeah once they settle into a 2-3 all you have to do is swing it around the perimeter until they completely abandon someone. 2-3 matchup can be even worse when guys start running around scatterbrained with no idea who is supposed to pressure, sometimes they just run away and you could drive a truck to the rim

On MOP though I swear you automatically get docked about 10% on your 3PT attempts as a team. You'll get a lot of open looks from deep against a zone but I swear you won't make as many as you should.

Ive got a tip I just recognized after at least 50 seasons. Simulate ahead to see the calendar for the next season. Because monday and sunday games can really affect your ability.especially if u get stuck one week only being able to call and email. Im actually thinking about not scheduling any games in the two weeks prior to early signing so I can focus on recruiting

Now see, I've seen in this thread at the beginning that guys are saying if you have a sunday game you're unable to recruit for that week. I'm not having that problem, I can still recruit with sunday games but I've noticed that if you have three games in a particular week you're unable to dish out any recruiting points.

Anyone notice this too?
