    Hey everyone,

Great thread! just got done reading it and I am looking forward to starting my first season as the HC of the Norfolk St Spartans (hopping on the bandwagon, i guess).

Maybe I'm dreaming, but I swear one of my players just grew on me. I recruited this PG and he was undersized at 5'8, now his sophomore year he's 5'10. Am I seeing things? Anyone else have players experience growth spurts. I never edit players, so maybe I just misremembered his height, but I'm 99% sure this guy was 5'8 last year.

Players also can put on weight as they develop, but their body frame (appearance) stays the same for the most part.

Alright so, I'm in the B1G tournament as Michigan against MSU in the semis. MSU kicked my teeth in to start the game, I called several TOs and adjusted my defense twice. I found a winning combination and went on a crazy 19-2 run to tie the game up at 38-38 with a minute to go in the first half. Why does MSU still have the 6th man advantage?

I've seen this plenty of times. In tournament games when a game is back and forth and it's close to the end of regulation or in your case the half, the crowd gets really into it and causes the other team-even if they care on the wrong side of the run-to gain 6th man advantage, because the crowds really into it. I'm not sure if I've seen it often at the end of the first half, but I've seen it a few times in the end of the regulation.

I had a legacy where I go to UNC, but I actually wasn't too excited about how recruiting was going there and left to go to UCLA and I just dominated for years. It's so nice recruiting at UCLA, I'd go with them if I were you.

I've been away from the game for awhile and looking to make things interesting again. What are some 2nd tier teams that are capable of pulling in solid 4stars and the occasional 5 star recruit? One team that I've had success with is Florida State (no 5star recruit). I don't want it to be too easy by playing with UNC, Duke, or UCLA but it gets old when you have a successful program that is unable to grab an occasional 5 star recruit. This season Providence, Oklahoma State, and NC State were able to grab a 5star.

I was thinking about UCLA. You can dominate the CA recruiting scene with the Bruins.

Nearly 3 years after I ran a legacy in this game (Mississippi State and University of New Orleans), I'm hungry to pick it back up again (sold my PS3 to focus on my studies). I remember this game being 5 bucks on Amazon at one point- now a used copy goes for $30 easy. Seems to be a shortage of copies right? Really should have kept my original, but I don't see a problem with buying another one as this game gave me endless hours of satisfying play.

I don't know- it's just that self-gratifying feeling you get from managing everything about any team in the country, especially the small schools- and having those things directly show up in the win-loss columns.

I'm still playing this game 4 years later. It's that in-depth. One little thing that I thought was so cool about the game is the legacy you can leave, literally, on the game as a coach. Once you build up a solid program and other teams start snatching up your assistant coaches to be their head coaches, go take a look at your former assistant's coach profile with his new team. He more likely than not will have adopted your playbooks (offense and defense) and tendancies that you use in your profile.

I run an up-tempo, "LMU fastbreak" style offense out of the "All plays" playbook, and a high trap, heavy pressure defense to encourage a faster paced game. Every single assistant I've had who has moved on to be a head coach adopted that same attack style and were successful at it. The assistants of my former assistants then went on to use that same style, and so on and so forth. Nothing more gratifying than seeing 4 teams in the top 25 who all have head coaches that stem from your coaching tree.

Even cooler is seeing your replacement, from the school you just left for a bigger program, KEEP your playbook and tendencies even though it's completely different from what he ran at other programs. Nothing like building a system so successful that transcends the coach who created it!

I also found that my conference rivals started to try and copy my scheme to keep pace with my program. I turned the notoriously slow-paced, D oriented "Big Ten" conference into a bunch of high octane, fastbreaking offensive juggernauts in 10 years. lol

check a couple gamestops/used game stores. I picked up a copy a few months ago for $2.99

I called damn near every GameStop in NJ that was worth driving to, and nothing. I then called this game store that's about five minutes away, and nailed it for $10. I remember loving this game when I had it, but traded it in years ago like a Douche Bagelow. Most likely because I was so deep in Modern Warfare. I now randomly pop it in just to get that college feel that I love...

This is kinda random but I got to thinking about this. I wonder if former players come back as assistant coach after a few years or if all the assistant coaches are randomly generated.... There is probably hardly any way of figuring this out though.
