Another question: how exactly does player development work in this? I noticed that it has development drills like in the NBA series, but instead of being hilariously overpowered they don't seem to do much of anything at all. Say I have a freshman PF and PG and I want to develop their midrange and ball handling skills respectively. What would be the best way of doing that?

There's also the weekly practices you can use and use them to focus on specific aspects you want your team to improve in. I haven't used them in a while, but you can work on mid range, 3 pt, rebounding, etc for the team and not just one player.

So basically it'd take about as long as it would if I were to jump to a mid major? In that case I'll work on turning Texas State into a Southland powerhouse.

It depends. You get coaching points by getting achievements and reaching goals. Some goals are easier to get at the mid-major level (like recruiting goals). So it all depends on how successful you are as a coach and how quickly you make the coach a good one.

Is there a list of the coaching achievements that get you points? I tried googling, but I'm only finding the 360 achievements.

It should be in your game. Click your coaching profile and navigate with the triggers, there should be legacy goals in there somewhere. Sry for the weak description, I don't have the game up at the moment, but I know it's in there somewhere.

careful with jumping straight from a low school to a high major/bcs school. there is a coaching acheivement for being hired by a larger conference school. and a seperate achievement for being hired by a power conference school. if you go directly to a power school you'll skip the other achievement and won't be able to get it. it may or may not matter to you, be warned

edit: different topic completely, didn't want to double post... anyways i've been thinking lately that a PG or a player in general with a high Pass rating will increase the shooting ability of players he passes to. also was wondering about the complete effects of team chemistry during played games. i can definitely see the end product in the games i've played, just wondering how and why i'm getting there

i've been thinking lately that a PG or a player in general with a high Pass rating will increase the shooting ability of players he passes to. also was wondering about the complete effects of team chemistry during played games. i can definitely see the end product in the games i've played, just wondering how and why i'm getting there

A player who is a solid passer will usually pass it to the shooter where they are able to walk into the shot, thus increasing the chances of hitting the shot. And when you have strong chemistry as a team, shooters will be found a lot easier in places where they are more comfortable and confident. That may be why you are seeing shots fall more in those situations.

Just wanted to share this, just happened in a game in my legacy. Almost exactly what happened last night to Zeller. Only it counted as a 3 and not a 2.

Well I went to the ODU-VCU game today and it still amazes me how well this game does at replicating the real feel of the college atmosphere. It does a better job of replicating the essence of college basketball than many other games do of replicating their particular sport.

i have a simple question, i need to find my offense and I have no idea which one to choose. I have guards that are wet from downtown but my bigs, especially reggie johnson, can't shoot to save his life and has no post game but i like to get him involve, so that my shooters on the outside have more room, what offense should i run?

Love the game, Love the thread, have a copy ordered and am waiting for it to arrive so that I can start a legacy once again. Its been almost 4 years since I was over on the 2k forums doing the Legacy of Coach Carter at Norfolk St. Gonna bring him back and this thread has really made me hungry to play again.

Been seeing a lot of talk on the L cut problem with the 2-3 zone. Im a little surprised that no one has been able to find the fix cuz its pretty easy. You just need to adjust the help defense sliders to zero, this wont cure the problem entirely, but it will help a ton.

Does anyone know what happens if you achieve more than 5 coaching goals in a season? You can only accumulate 5 pts each season. Will you get credit for the excess points in a later season? Or if you accomplish one of the goals again in a future season, would you get the points then? Or are they just lost forever?

So are there some courts that lag more than others? I played a game at Marquette and the framerate was terrible. Is there any way to fix this while the game is going on? Is there a list of courts that lag? Is it random? Is there a thread on this somewhere? My search didn't turn anything up.
