In the off-season during your scheduling you can add a tournament to play in. Sometimes you randomly get added to a tournament in the off-season wehn it sets your schedule, but you have total control over your schedule. So add or remove yourself as you please. I like to play in a tourney every year. I wish there was a game editor because the game is missing a few early season tourneys. Plus it really bugs me that the NIT tournament finals are not at MSG.

Still love the game though!!

Is there a way to choose what other teams are in a tournament when you add one to your schedule?
Also, in a multiplayer legacy can you put two user controlled teams in the same tournament?

Can anyone tell me if you can use the unlocked basketballs that you unlock in your shrine in legacy mode?, and if so how do you get them in.

When you're choosing teams before you play a game, press triangle or Y and it will take to another menu there you can set the courts, minutes, etc. There will be an option that shows the basketballs you can use.

Good information about using the unlockables, in that other thread as well.

I'm hoping if I do coach mode I will be able to use the unlocked jerseys in my games if I get to a school that has them. It doesn't let me change profiles on the main legacy screen and in coach mode you can't load a profile to play either.

You have to change the profile you're in the main menu of the game, not in legacy. I haven't done it in a while, but you have to go to "User Profiles" and you select the first profile (main one, yours) and then you select load and load up the downloaded profile which is Ho0pz, I think or something like that.

There is a pretty wide variety, and don't forget that potential plays a factor too.

But as for incoming freshman, just off of memory (obviously your mileage will vary):

I've had 2 star freshmen as low as 55 and as high at 68.
I've had 3 star freshmen as low as 62 and as high as 79
I've had 4 star freshmen as low as 72 and as high as 81

I did not own the game at launch, but my understanding is that the NIT finals used to be playable in MSG, but were patched out (along with MSG being a selectable stadium) due rights/licensing issues.

You can still play in MSG in the Coaches vs Cancer Classic though.

I've had 2 star guys come in lower than that, like in the 40s, especially if I extend for a big with no actual skill other than size.

I recruited a garbage one star guy that had absolute no good stats besides being 7'6 and for whatever reason, good stamina. He sucked simming but ingame was pretty good and I averaged a double double with him b/c I was at a small school dominating their 6'7 centers lol.

Yea no matter their rating I always try to have atleast one giant on my team. The height really helps when you're at a smaller school

Same, 3 star 7 footers are often better investments than 5 star 6'7"ers(shortest C I've seen at 5*)
