Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Bumping this great thread! While doing a sim only rebuild earlier Kentucky 3 peated. And went to 4 National championship games in a 5 year span. I've never seen a team so dominate. And, they had 4 straight #1 RC's.Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
I have a question and I am new. I got College Hoops 2K8 but do I have to recruit? Can I just play the legacy mode without recruiting and is there settings I need to be mindful of if I am choosing not to recruit?
Thanks!Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Just turn Recruiting assistance on(I forget ts exact name). I'd check it two or three times a year just to double-check that scholarships were given. Note that the players you get while most likely be significantly worse than average.Support Local Sports

Thanks for the help on that. Also is there a way for me to update to the most recent rosters for my XBOX 360?
ThanksComment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
One thing that is kind of cool and annoying at the same time is when I make the Tourney as a #1 seed, undefeated, with a 92 overall team. Cruise into the Sweet 16 only to be matched up against..a 5 seed. No problem, I think, until I see that they are rated... 96 overall. I get a bad feeling, and sure enough, we lose, although I don't consider it an upset since they were higher rated (but lower seeded).
I am currently playing (well, simming mostly, with some watched games mixed in) as UTPA, Independent. I want to see if an Independent team can earn an NCAA bid. I made the NIT last year, so theoretically, it should be possible. I loaded my schedule with some power conference teams, so I am hoping that some upset wins and a decent RPI might be enough to get us in.Last edited by BamaToon; 04-07-2021, 02:09 AM.Comment

I thought about deleting the file and restarting, but I will see what happens, though I will sim most of the games from now on.Comment

keep scheduling big rpi schools and beating them. You'll get in the NCAA with an Independent. I've got CSU Bakersfield at #10 nationally after 4-5 years of only getting into the NIT. You've gotta really schedule up to get the RPI up.Comment

Interesting you mentioned them, they became someone of an indy "power". They would get 20 or so wins every other year and I remember them having a 77 rating in my final season.Comment
