I left Princeton to coach Hofstra, and then the following year I make the tournament as a #5 seed with Hofstra, and my first round matchup happens to be none other than Princeton, who I beat by 30. I love this game

Well in a heartbreaker, my Kentucky team lost to Syracuse 80-73 in the Nat'l title game. This brings my final four/championship record to 2-4, and back-to-back title appearances with a lost.

I started the new year in my legacy, and saw the tallest AA Center I've seen.

Damn...he'd be fun to play with. That's one of my few gripes with the game the lack of high end talent with size. Guys like that should be #1 recruit...not burried behind a bunch of PG and SG

True and almost all the tallest centers are 3* prospects.

Oh man do I have stories to tell! I'll go ahead and talk about a legacy I did a year ago and my current legacy (they will be spoiler tagged because there will be a lot of text).

Note: Both legacies use the 2007-08 rosters because I prefer using the rosters the game was made for.

              Legacy #1:

              Spoiler

              Legacy #2:

              Spoiler

Also, I have a pretty funny discovery. After reading through this thread yesterday, I decided to check the head coaches of a few teams, including Illinois-Chicago, who is the only team in my conference to beat us twice this season. So I go to the coaches page to find out who Illinois-Chicago's head coach is, and who do I find? Everybody's favorite rival coach Kevin Broadus, who is also in his inaugural season at the school! I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that.

Although I haven't played this game in years I'm still following this thread because I love hearing all the little things you guys find in this game. I wish they would just create this same game with the new 2k engine. I would buy that in a heart beat!

Yeah, I always wish they would have at least stopped at 2k9. Loved the animations that year.

Has anyone ever had or seen a team with that had a dynasty as long/powerful as Alabama?

Closest I've ever seen was Georgia Tech in my legacy, they didn't win back to back, but they had 3 titles in 9 years and always had great recruiting classes. They recently won a title after about 10+ years to capture their 4th, the most titles won in my 35-36 year long legacy.

                        Annual bump.

I saw a 2 OT championship game in my legacy. Wasn't my team, but was one of the greatest Natty title games I've seen. I can post the recording of it if you guys want to see it.

I read through the whole thread a while back and was amazed at how detailed my posts were, and wondering why I stopped doing it. I'll probably write of a review of the last two seasons, and a few updates to previous updates.

Random question: Does anyone else import draft classes into NBA 2K8 just follow careers of former players and storylines from choops into NBA? I used to just advanced through the seasons but it felt empty since I wasn't importing classes especially since I was finally getting freshmen to leave.

Edit: Also has anyone seen any unique recruits? Doesn't have to be your own. I've been following recruits in general lately and even though they're not entirely the same, most of the prospects are pretty cookie cutter.

I have a stockpile of 2k8 draft classes waiting to be imported to NBA 2k8, but my ps3 doesn't read discs anymore so I'm just waiting til I can afford I new one. My plan was to import year after year of michigan graduates, then eventually draft an all Michigan alumni NBA team. Years later, I still want this to happen

Every year I start a new legacy. Im more of a sim individual so reaching the max of 40 years happens by the time college basketball season is actually over. I use the original rosters and start with uc riverside. On one of my legacies, by year 10 with uc riverside I was dominating the big west, and averaging top 10 recruiting classes with the best players from the state of California. I focused primarily on instate recruits and reaped the benefits. I got bored by around year 20 and even though I had won national championships with them, I left for a more prestigious conference and landed with KU once Self retired. Didnt have near the success there, and ended up going back to UC Riverside after year 8, and finished the last 12 years there to finish out the career. What I would give for this game to get an update on the current 2k engine.

True story. One of my recruits from 2K8 was Smackey Avery. Hence my username on here and on Xbox.
