In the last week of the offseason recruiting, I stole away a four star that was from the other side of the country and had no interested teams. He ended up being a 76 ovr with a 85 3pt shot!! He avg 21.6 ppg in freshman year.

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Also, this season was the year for crazy top 15 match ups... in the first month of the season. Seems like every top 5 team was facing off against a top 10 or higher team right off the bat.Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Just for the fun of it, I created twin brothers as recruits. I decided to make on a Center and the other a PF. Both are 4* recruits from St. Cloud, MN(somewhat irrelevant side note: I loosely based these recruits on a couple of friends I knew back in HS).
One ended up going to Iowa State and the other to Nebraska. The one who chose ISU had Neb as a very close second and the one who went to Neb almost went to ISU.
Initially I wanted them to play for the same school, but this actually makes it a lot more interesting since they're in the same conference going against each other.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Definitely interested to hear how the twins do especially when they play against each other.Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Its been a crazy season so far, but def my best. I recruited a 5* recruit and currently in the sweet 16! I have to face a 34-3 Charlotte... Its definitely going to be a tough matchup.
Question for you guys: I'm most likely going to stay, but before the tourney even started I was thinking about going to UCLA because they're coach is on the hot seat but I didn't want to leave Kentucky without doing something significant and leaving behind a 5* recruit. I've recruited pretty well (mainly in Indiana) but California would be a hotbed of talent and gives me a chance to build up another school. (UCLA has been down for YEARS)Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Started a sim legacy just to see if I could manage to not get fired with a fairly awful Binghangam team (I didn't get fired).
However, first season I finally saw a #16 seed knock off a #1 seed. Of course, it wasn't that much of an upset -- the #16 seed was Arizona State, who finished 8th in the Pac 10 but won the tournament. Not entirely sure how they got a #16 seed, but they were 86 OVR and beat Georgetown.
Just a weird upset all around.Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Starting up a new legacy tonight (2012-2013 rosters) and have a few team ideas and I want your guy's input; these are the teams I'm choosing from: VCU (hometown team I love them), UNLV (Katin Reinhardt is one of my favorite players), Ole Miss (I love Marshall Henderson), and Ohio St. (Aaron Craft is my idol lol.). So what do you guys think? My legacy will be 15 min all conference sliders (from the forum) and I will be posting a write up after each and every game and giving information about the conference, recruits, etc. So let me know guys!Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Dunk City didn't make the cut lol? I say go with VCU. If your coaching strategy is anything like the Havoc defense they run, that could be a fun legacy.Purdue Boilermakers, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, Chicago BullsComment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
I just finished a 40 year legacy but after starting out at UC Davis I landed at Wichita St. After a couple of years there I was looking at the 5 star freshman list and saw Chad Kelly. He was 7' 280 and looked like a beast. Fast forward 3 years and He is 7'1 315 and #1 overall player. After recruiting him for 4 years I got him over Kansas Texas and Mizzou. He was 88 overall and averaged 13 and 7 in his only year. No doubt if he would have stayed we would have had a great chance to win the title. Best Recruit I've ever seen and glad I landed him.Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
Ya it's really hit or miss but it helps with getting recruits priorities early and you can really go up in interest once you can start talking to them at the beginning of their junior year.Comment

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.
I tried 1 time recruiting an underclassmen. He was a 4* as a FR a 5* as a JR and a 3* as a SR! Andnafter all that work and time recruiting him he turned out to be just average, so I stopped recruiting themRather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment

SpoilerLook at his board. The CPU coaches k ow who's good and who isn't. So if his board is full of the Kansases and Dukes of the world, then he'll be good. If its full of the Pacifics and Savannah States of the world, then he'll be bad.Favorite Teams:
College #1: Michigan Wolverines
College #2: Michigan State Spartans (my alma mater)
College #3: North Carolina Tar Heels
NHL: Detroit Redwings

It's pretty easy to tell which FR are gonna be good and which won't.
