Originally posted by FootballForeverit doesn't matter how many points he averaged over his time spent in the leauge, the thing that stands out for Horry is his Clucth Play, thats a big reason why he will make it to the Hall, without him and his clutch play with the teams he has won rings with, those teams may have not won with out him. Horry will make it.
Those teams may not have won without him, but they definitely would not have won without Shaq, Kobe, Olajuwon, Duncan, etc. Thats the difference for a hall of famer. Horry is replaceable, others are not. Steve Kerr has also hit game-winning shots in finals situations to clinch it, he did it twice, once with the Bulls and once with the Spurs (to get to the Finals against a doomed Nets team). Yet we do not mention Kerr in the same breath as the HoF.

You guys that are saying Horry, are you saying that you think they'll put him in, or are you saying this out of your own personal feelings?
I'd love to see him in there, but the only way he's getting into a hall is if the NBA makes its own. Being a clutch difference maker on good teams won't get him into the basketball HOF.Comment

Originally posted by GraphikDoes anyone agree with Horry making it to the HOF? I was serious when I typed it. The man has won....I lost count of how many rings he has won. If championships matter the most for Hall of Famers, should'nt Horry qualify? His stats dont say it but whats he's done to win those chips should be taken under consideration.
Hell, no. Horry was just in the right place at the right time, riding the coattails of superstars. And Horry's only had a handful of clutch plays, at that, far less than his reputation holds.Comment

Zo yes...I think the committee may be waivingto Mr. Dikembe Mutombo Mplondo Mukamba Jean Jacques Wamutombo...But we'll see. It'll be close. Both of them had great careers in College and obviously in the NBA, but neither won anything in either level.

they're defintely right there. let's say Zo were to win one or two rings (just in theory) would that make him an automatic hof-er? i personally could care less about the hall of fame though.Comment
