Here is one, even though he retired recently.....Tim Hardaway?
    Timmy won't.
    Mutombo definitely won't.
Mourning will only if he wins one or two titles with these Heat.
Garnett wouldnt now but he probably will when he retires.
Grant Hill won't (if Aguirre and Wilkins aren't there, then Grant Hill definitely won't be)

Grant Hill had a great great College Career that had him winning 2 National Titles.

He will be in the HOF no question.

Name one recent player who got in for his college achievements but had a sub-HoF professional career.

OK. KG looks like he gets in.

As far as Grant Hill he seems like he gets in but he's no lock. I'd consider him borderline.

And as far as Robert Horry, I don't think so. Horry hasn't even been in ONE all-star game. The only piece of hardware he has to show for is a spot on the all-rookie team in 1993. If he's such a great playoff performer shouldn't he have an NBA Finals MVP at least? Sorry, but there is no room for Horry in the hall.

And for those who think Robert Horry should make it does anyone think that John Paxson should be in? He's made some big shots in the playoffs. Some even bigger than Robert Horry. Remember 1993 Finals-Game 6?

Or how about Mario Ellie? Ellie made some clutch shots in the playoffs also. I still can remember the 'kiss of death' he did after he made a big shot against the Phoenix Suns to eliminate them in the 1995 playoffs.

NOW ask yourself again...should Robert Horry be in the Hall of Fame? Good player but my answer would still be , 'No'.

Difference is, this guy not only makes big shots, but he makes big plays, over and over and over again, In EVERY playoff and FINALs game he is in...

The way your talking, you make it seem like he just made a big three to win a game or something.

Do you realize that for every ring he has, if he was not on the team, its arguable that team may not have won. Yes. he is a ROLE player. but his ROLE. is to WIN GAMES IN CLUTCH situations.

The man has a Legacy of being a champion and coming through on the grandest stage in basketball each and every time he is called upon to do so.
There are only a handful of people that can say the same. And all those guys are going in to the Hall, so why not bob.

Because the other guys going to the hall with that characteristic have also done way more with their career.

He's the ultimate role player, and any team with a chance of sniffing the playoffs would love to have the guy, but as a role player his chances of being enshrined are between slim and none.

Ok. From your quote of 'all those guys are going to the Hall' are you refering to the orignal list of players or John Paxson and Mario Ellie? If your referring to the later then you my friend are smoking crack. No way Paxson and Ellie get into the Hall.

And as far as you saying for every ring he has the team wouldn't have won without him...you can argue the same for Paxson and Ellie. Even though the argument is insane. Would the Bulls won game 7 if Paxson didn't hit that big shot in game 6 to win it for the Bulls in 1993? Ellie hit that 'kiss of death' shot in game 7 of the Phoenix series.

The reality of it is Horry won titles because he had Olajuwon and Shaq and his squads. Paxson won because of Jordan and Pippen. Ellie won because of Olajuwon and Duncan/Robinson.

                      Bingo.

And in the championship series Horry has been in, as much as I can remember, he's had one great game (Game 5 last year against the Pistons) and two, count 'em--TWO--clutch shots (Game 5 against the Pistons and Game 5, I think, against the Kings back in 2002). That's all I can recall. He may have had a clutch shot when he was with the Rockets in the Finals, but still, that's only three. Like Dice said, John Paxon and Mario Ellie have had just as many big shots.

                      Horry is hardly HoF material.

He must have at least 6 in the playoffs alone.

If you put Garnett in, you pretty much have to put Webber in. Their numbers mirror themselves except for Garnett's one MVP.
