        Re: Nash wins MVP

Nash is very fortunate because he is a playmaker, a general and has a ball in his hands all the time..that's why he gets the credit and an Mvp

point guard position has always been the focal position

I think the real winners and people he should be credited are the ones in management: the coach, the GM, all the assistants..for creating the system that fits all those players..

I'm not trying to take away anything from Nash, he is the best PG right now, but just looking at his numbers this year remember that shooting 50% to get 18ppg doesn't neccessarily mean an MVP year; shooting 92% when you take 3 freethrows a game is not neccessarily an MVP year or shooting almost 50% from the 3P line while making 1.9 three pointers a game on 4.3 shots a game.

Definitely most deserving, especially after last night. I mean the way he took the brunt of that dunk truly showed he was special. He is hands down on the MVP - Most Vicious Poster.

Seriously though, Nash is deadly. He can score at will, his defense is suspect but if Dantoni aint coach of the year, then Nash is Most Valuable.

I gues I'm just well, well.

Yes, he contributes to alot of wins but Phoenix is terribly overrated(mainly because of Nash's weakness) and although he creates for his teammates more emphasis should be placed on the fact that you're the best player on the court most if not every time your on it. That's not Nash.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

once again leave anyone else but the suns/nash out of this. i am not talking about anybody else except for the suns. why are you bringing this back to the lakers or kobe bryant?

you find it funny? who exactly are you talking about. besides boris diaw, who went from 21.5 minutes in 2 seasons in atlanta to 36 mpg for the suns this season, what players "haven't done much prior to this year". the suns have nothing less than solid surrounding players around nash. marion, raja (averaged 12 ppg in 2 season in utah prior to this season), kurt thomas (though injured currently), barbosa, eddie house, tim thomas (who always had game, just was a question of mental). how are these guys "scrubs". that's just ridiculous to believe that.

with all that said steve nash deserves the mvp this season.

                      Re: Nash wins MVP

They set the precedent last year by giving it to Nash (15 points 11 assists no defense) over Shaq. They put themselves in a situation where they basically had to give it to him this year.

I felt Kobe, Lebron, Billups, and my MVP choice Dirk Nowitzki were more deserving.

what has james jones done? house? barbosa never avg in double digits prior to this year and had many chances two his rookie yr with marbury being traded. theres no question that nash had made all these players on the sun way better to think different is ridiculous

Don't worry Kash, when the Suns are at home in the 2nd round and Kobe and the Lakers, a 7th seed, are advancing, it won't matter much.

Everyone knows the best player in the league is Kobe, period. If you voted, he'd get 80% of the votes.... or more. The MVP is a different story, but who cares, Kobe will prove his greatness and his leadership in the playoffs and when his team moves on and the overrated Suns are watching an all LA second round, they can say, "well, at least we have the MVP."

I don't care who Nash lost... who elevated their team more this year? Nash's team won what, the same amount of games? Kobe's team won, what +14 more? It's making your team BETTER, and Kobe's team improved more than Nash's did.

and the suns won like 29 games yr b4 the last one and who cares that kobe's team won +14 the difference betweent the situations is when the suns won those 29 games they didnt have nash on the team then he comes on the next year and they win 62, kobe was on that 34 win team last year so there improvement you can say what from phil coming back not on kobe like you can say for nash. The series is tied lakers ain't win yet so the watchin the suns at home is looking real dumb right now considering the suns have owned the lakers this year

Funny. The Suns lose Amare after the season and people were already giving up on them. Now they have the same kind of season as last year and let's not forget Nash stepped up his game even more this year. Give me a break and step outside of your Laker nation box.
