Everyone knows the best player in the league is Kobe, period. If you voted, he'd get 80% of the votes.... or more. The MVP is a different story, but who cares, Kobe will prove his greatness and his leadership in the playoffs and when his team moves on and the overrated Suns are watching an all LA second round, they can say, "well, at least we have the MVP."

I don't care who Nash lost... who elevated their team more this year? Nash's team won what, the same amount of games? Kobe's team won, what +14 more? It's making your team BETTER, and Kobe's team improved more than Nash's did.
yes, thats true, the lakers won 14 more games this year, but last time i checked, kobe bryant was on last years team too, so it's not like he changed all that by himself with his arrival. Kobe best player in the league? thats arguable with a certain player averaging 30 7 and 6 while leading his team to 50 wins. Kobe and the Lakers advancing to the second round? wow, one game has you that hyped? your gonna be in for a huge reality check the next couple of games...

Psh, don't make me laugh. The Suns aren't beating the Lakers without Amare, mark my words. Who cares if Nash turned his team around last year? That's the past. The fact of the matter is the Suns got WORSE this year, while Kobe and his Lakers got 14 games better. I don't care if Nash did better this season than last. Kobe Bryant is either FIRST OR SECOND TEAM ALL DEFENSE this year. Nash doesn't have defense. Kobe set records. Nash didn't. Nash had an okay supporting cast. Half of the Lakers would had made suitable additions for the D-League this year. Kobe averaged 35/5/5... In my opinion the only people that should have even had a shot at this are Kobe and 'Bron. But even Lebron has a strong supporting cast(Larry Hughes, Ilgauskas, Damon Jones, Donyell Marshall.. etc..) Who did Kobe have? Lamar Odom? Lamar Odom has just barely found a nitch of consistency towards the end of the season as has Kwame Brown. This really makes me satisfied because even though Kobe is not MVP we'll see that he made his team mates much better than Nash when they eliminate them in 6 games.

I hope THE MVP has fun watching the Playoffs from home.

What a bunch of drivel from a Lakers fan.

Sure, no one will doubt that Kobe is among the best players in the league, he's definitly a better player than Nash and definitly a future hall of famer. No doubt about it.

However, this award is for the most valuable player to his team, and Nash definitly was this season. His team clinched a division and he was the reason they did. The Lakers limped into the playoffs, hell, most nights they werent even the best team in their own building.

I wouldn't say that the Lakers limped into the playoffs. They won their last five games of the season and finished four games ahead of 9th place Utah. And they only finished two games behind the Clippers so they weren't that much worse.

But I understand your point and I would pick Nash over Kobe for MVP.

Apparently Nash won in a landslide. Can anyone confirm this? If this is true, which I don't think it is, that would be very confusing considering all the legit candidates that we have this year.

James with a better supporting cast? how? Hughes has been out for most of the year, marshal has had no outside shot, and is shooting a career low, while damon jones' shot was present only in the last month of the season. the only credible guy on there is ilgauskus, and 15 and 7 isnt that great of a second option, i mean, i bet odom is about the same value as ilgauskus...
