      Re: Suspensions handed down

I would have liked to have seen Isiah Thomas get some sort of fine or suspension for sending in Collins to commit a hard foul, for threatening Carmelo, or for his post game laughter and comments. The guy has gone on to prove that he has no class.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Melo should of gotten a harder suspension of atleast 30 days(thats just me though). The rest seem resonable except for jefferies...unless he said something he shouldnt of said that was heard by refs.

Besides trying to chase Carmelo down Broadway, dragging Mark Aguire down the court as he tried to hold him back from continuing the fight, he managed to go after Carmelo before the punch and grab him by the throat (pic here - it won't load right for me to put it in the thread)

Melo won't be back - assuming this suspension isn't contested - until Jan. 20th against the Rockets.

It's all a ploy by the Nuggets to tank the season and get Oden.

Unless Jefferies held onto his throat for awhile (which doesn't seem possible since Anthony was on the otherside of the court in seconds) I doubt he was really "choking" him. Probably trying to shove Anthony away, though he didn't need to since he high-tailed it out of there after the sucker-punch.

I don't think Anthony gets back that quickly on defense was my first thought.

I heard that for every game each player was suspended, Dwyane Wade gets to shoot free throws.

Apparently, after this whole thing went down, Bavetta motioned that Wade shoot all of the Technicals, lol.

It was BEFORE the punch, before Smith & Robinson tackled each other into the stands. Jeffries came down the court and went straight for Anthony, even with Najera and Frye trying to keep him away. He flew off the handle, and the only reason he didn't get more games was he was incompetent in his efforts to get more involved. He seems to be as much a threat in a fight as he is to score a basket. He gets an "A" for effort though.

Stern came down lightly. Robinson should have been at 15, and Melo at 20+.

Seems about right for all parties involved.

Isiah Thomas should get some kind of fine or suspension though, it's obvious he sent Collins in there to foul Smith and he even was seen telling Anthony not to go near the hoop. What a joke.
