      Re: All-Star reserves

I'm surprised to see both Rip and Chauncey make it as East reserves. Especially CB, since he had already missed 8 games of this season so far. Luol Deng probably should've went over him.

Man, Redd deserved to go, injury or no injury. He's coming off the injury next week. He was having his best season before the injury.

I hope he takes it out on everyone.

The Mavs have the best record in the NBA but only one all-star.
            NJ has two
            Detroit has two
            SA has two
            the Suns have three

            what a crock of BS

Heh, if you want to complain about it, blame it on AI. He pretty much stole that West reserve spot since he's been on the Nuggets for only a few weeks now. Another factor is that it's a close call between choosing either Josh Howard and Shawn Marion. I'm not sure why Marion got the nod over Howard, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Ray Allen and Josh Howard were both snubbed.

Allen should have gotten in over Tony Parker, and Howard should have been in over either Amare or Marion.

I'm guessing you are saying this because you are a Mavs fan. Amare and Marion deserve it just as much as Howard did and you could have said the same exact thing if Howard made it in. It's not like someone less deserving (Marion or Amare as you say) made it.

                      LMAO

of course Amare and Marion both deserve it in the same season. Nash "deserves" a 3rd MVP in a row also right? btw, isnt one of the main reasons why Nash deserves MVP over Dirk is Dirk has "a better supporting cast" isnt that what people were saying in the MVP thread?

howard will get one of the injury reserve spots... probably Allen too. Yao and Boozer won't be playing, so that opens up two more spots.

fan voting sucks. that's how deserving players get left off. it needs to be taken away or the all-star rosters need to be expanded to at least 15 so players that deserve to be there have the opportunity. It's an exhibition, who said you can only carry 12 players.

                            Re: All-Star reserves

But it's just not the same when you're a replacement...Ask Gilbert lol.

But Melo got snubbed big time too, he leads the league in scoring. Oh well, I guess that's what you get for doing the "running man." Josh Howard deserved to be named too.

I kinda agree with Chuck saying that teams below .500 like NJ don't deserve 2 all-stars. Although an all-star game is not an all-star game without VC. But I'm also kind of surprised that the Pistons got two guys also. But seeing how they're both still solid, I still think that they should have got someone else in instead.

But it will be interesting to see how the West handles the injury situations. Since Yao and Booz aren't playing, my best bet is that Amare will start at Center and Howard and Melo will both be named as replacements. But the problem with that is the lack of size. They're replacing a C and a PF with two SFs. But since they have KG, Dirk, and TD, they should be able to get by with it. Or maybe Melo or Howard starts at SF, KG at PF, and TD at C. It's more balanced.

Of course, they deserve it. Why don't they? I never said Howard didn't. Howard will get on the squad so stop crying because you hate the Suns and everything that isn't in the state of Texas, quite annoying. It's one thing to be fan and another of being a complete homer.

I didn't call you a "homer" in this thread but thanks for clarifying that. Also, why oh why, do you always bring up the greatest that is Steve Nash in every thread? Yes he deserves a 3rd MVP and I think the majority of the US agrees with me. Mavs have the best record right now due to playing more games, go ahead and say BS but it's the truth.

I also agree with what SoMiss said about expanding the roster.
