Re: All-Star reserves
Yes you should! If you want Howard to go to the all-star game then that's exactly what it means. it means that someone who is on the team would not make it. I asked you who on the team does howard deserve to go over and you couldnt tell me.
If Howard was indeed snubbed then that would mean that he is sitting at home while someone less deserving is going to the all-star game. The fact that you can't tell me who he should go in place of, means that everyone who was selected deserved it.
FYI

Re: All-Star reserves
But at least now Stern will get to pick two replacements –- and correct the injustice done by the league's coaches who somehow left off Denver's Carmelo Anthony and Dallas' Josh Howard.
"I think Dallas having the best record and only one guy, I thought that was surprising," D'Antoni said.
But why was Howard spurned? The only possible answer is the competitive nature of that position. I doubt if coaches would fail to vote for a player simply because he's not well-known with the general fan base, which is the case with Howard.
"It should be Howard," said another coach, "but even if he's in Las Vegas, he's going to have a chip on his shoulder the rest of the season. And that's going to make him even tougher."
I'm not saying the decision was easy, but in this circumstance I would've voted for HOWARD over Boozer and Anthony. And if I were the commish, I would certainly add the Maverick to the team.

I'm not quite sure how West coaches conspired to omit Josh Howard and Carmelo Anthony from their seven-man reserve roster -- nor can I explain how the Mavs have two All-Stars fewer than Phoenix and one fewer than San Antonio -

Re: All-Star reserves
I'm not sure why you care so much. Everyone knows Howard's abilities.. whether or not he's picked onto an All-Star team doesn't take anything away from Josh.Comment

Re: All-Star reserves
So it was a conspiracy that Howard and Melo weren't on the teams? Or was this quoted from someone else?Comment

Re: All-Star reserves
I was just checking. Once again, we all agreed that Howard should be on the team. So.. who should be taken off then if Howard was snubbed?Comment

Re: All-Star reserves
If you're a fan of teams like the Hawks or Grizzlies then I could understand caring about any kind of positive recognition, but IMO if your team is one of those teams who have aspirations of winning it all, then nothing else should matter.
Forget the all-star game, MVP, 1st team all NBA, All-Defensive team, all those awards or accolades, you make major contributions to championship teams and you get true respect.
Some might consider this a non sequitur, but you think Josh Howard would take zero all star games if his career had the same kind of results as Robert Horry's? career.
If I was a Dallas fan I would be 100% obsessed with winning the title. Hell, as a Laker fan even though we don't have a realistic shot at it, I'm still 100% obsessed with getting the crown. Everything else is subjective, being the champion is not.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
