Re: Best Point Guard in the League

I think it is quite funny how people are grading Bdiddy.

Dude is averaging 20 points and 8 ast in 62 games this year.
2.14 steals and just a side note, had a triple double last night.

To me if your going to put Kidd over Nash, you HAVE to put Baron over him also. Just for the simple fact that they are similar skill wise.

Kidd can run the offense, Bdiddy has done that for all of his career. Out of his 7 years pro, he's led 5(including GSW this season) to the playoffs.

They both play good defense and grab rebounds, and they both can play great offense. (I would give the edge to Bdiddy on Offense though, and give the edge to Kidd on defence.)

He is top 3. If he were healthy, he probably would be the best. As it is though he still is a great all around PG and IMO Nash's lack of defense doesn't out him over Baron for me. That is skill and talent wise.

      Shooting- Nash
      Rebounding- Kidd
      Passing- Push
      Defense- Kidd
      Finals Experience- Kidd
MVP- Nash (Even Though Kidd Was Snubbed His First Year)
      Triple Doubles- Kidd

      CP3 would be third
      Chauncey 4th
      The Baron 5th (When Healthy)
only difference between Kidd and Magic are 5 inches of height, Kareem, and being drafted by the Lakers (and 5 NBA championships)

Baron isn't nearly the defender Kidd is. Steals are about as overrated a stat as you can get. AI led the league in steals all the time, but was never a good on the ball defender. Baron's a better on the ball defender than him, but not in Kidd's league. Oh, and there's no comparing their rebounding ability either.

Baron Is A Good Shooter Than Kid, In Fact Most point Guards Are, But When It Comes To Running An Offense Kidd Is Better. I Beleive He Beats Baron In Every Category Except Shooting. Give Bdiddy This Nets Team This Year & See How He Fares

Of course it's Nash - Kidd is up there, but Nash has bene the best over the last 3 years at least.

Thing is that Nash had a pretty solid squad every year he's been playing while Kidd has been struggling to get something solid. Kidd has done more with less. Still is doing something with less. I mean, they had Richard Jefferson and Kristic out, AND they still made the playoffs. Vince was getting hounded so much but Kidd kept it alive. Even with Amare out, the Suns had Thomas, Diaw, and some others that could take the load off and spread the court. Nash's team is just setup to make him look fantastic.

Kirk is not in the top 5. If he's in the top 10, he's barely getting there. He's not a wonderful passer and sometimes his shot doesn't fall like it should. He could be a lot better if he was a little more consistent. I like Kirk when he's hot, but when he's not on point, that boy just sucks. He has a few more years to go and a few more practices to attend before he's even mentioned. A lot of people throw the "Ben Gordon's skill minus the height puts Kirk in a awkward situation" argument where he doesn't utilize his point guard skills like he could. Kirk needs to learn how to be more aggressive at times and conservative at others. He also needs to learn how to defend the great stars without getting called for those ticky tack fouls. Kirk is nice though. There are only a few players I'd trade Kirk for, and that list is slowly degrading.

WTF is that suppose to mean? Does Kirk Hinrich = the Bulls?? NO!! I like Luol Deng, Tyrus Thomas, Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni when he's sensible on the court. Kirk isn't someone I'm fond of head over heels. I don't have to love every player on the team. I'm not blind to the crap that media or the stations give me. I see what I like and I get attached to that. I'm not going to be some mindless poster when that's not who I am. I'm not blind to the fact that Kirk could improve more. That's the difference between fans with sense and blindly loyal fans. I support the Bulls whether they win or lose. I keep it real.

Blind? I think so. Remember who is coaching the Bulls, Skiles. He has players looking over their shoulder, then when the team is down lets takes the leashes off and Kirk and Co. goes to work.

And then you say "defend the great stars without getting called for those ticky tack fouls" , name one person who can defend great stars and not get a tickytack foul called against them? Dallas fans are still uptight about that!!!

Its been known that the Bulls dont get the respect around the L for D, especially Kirk. He usually guarding the best guard on the floor at the beginning of the game. Thats where the tickytack fouls come from. What some refs call good defense, Kirk cant get away with.

We can agree to disagree but your POV is off.

It seems that all the PG's listed all have other stars playing along side of them.

BDiddy is one of the PGs that those PG's listed in the poll have trouble with. B4 and after injury. He's niiice!!!
