Since Davis and Richardson didn't get suspended for their dirty plays, how can they justify suspending Amare for simply walking a few feet from the bunch, not even in the confrontation at all?

True, Wade got the benefit of some calls but, if memory serves, the fact that so many Mav's fans complained and never stopped caused a lot of people to stop relating to them and just wanting them to go away. There is a fine line between making a point and complaining about the same thing over and over again in multiple threads.

True again, but at the same time this is somewhat of a different situation considering the entire altercation, if you can even call it that, occured along the sideline and not out in the middle of the court. If this altercation had happened in the middle of the court then this would be a lot easier to call, but with the way it happened I can easily see Amare and Diaw not getting any punishment. On the flipside, Amare and the Suns said he was checking in, but did he actually check in at that point, because if he didnt then thats a huge whole in their story. Like I said in another thread, this whole rule needs to be made more specific so there isnt any room for debate, as it stands there is plenty of room for debate.

Because other players have been suspended for the exact same thing in the past. And I think the NBA is still reviewing what Baron did. J Rich should have been suspended imo based upon the precedent set when the NBA suspended Stackhouse in the Finals last year for a flagrant foul on Shaq.

But this is the NBA, and we all know some strange things happen sometimes, so nothing would really surprise me that much here.

I agree. That's what happened and I wasn't trying to sound like I was defending them bringing it up all the time months after the season was over.

I think he did check in, but Amare's lying saying that's where he was headed. I don't think anyone can dispute that. But yeah, I really don't see any way they aren't suspended. The altercation wasn't right in front of them to the point that they couldn't avoid being in it. They easily could of stayed off the court, but they didn't.

I think it's a stupid rule but imo they both should be suspended.

Thats my question though, did they actually enter the court or were they on the sideline there that runs in front of the scoring table from one bench to the other teams bench? If they were on the sideline then, according to the wording that was posted earlier in this thread, they didnt enter the court and therefor shouldnt be punished but again its an unusual situation as well. When an altercation happens it normally happens somewhere on the court and normally somewhere in the paint since thats where most hard fouls occur but this one happened along the sideline and in front of the scorers table and not really on the court, so it seems there could be an argument that there is a grey area.

I know one thing, Stern either has to suspend them or do nothing but he cant really fine them and not suspend them, the thought that they did something wrong would mean they entered the court in his mind and therefor would be a suspension not a fine, if they institute a fine without a suspension it could open a whole different can of worms.

Or just stood there shielding the ball like most people do when theyre about to get fouled. Why would the best free throw shooter on the team be running away from guys and then continue running completely upright when you see a big guy coming at you showing no signs of stopping. I'm not trying to blame Nash for anything but it doesn't take much contact to knock a guy over when hes running like that.

Oh...maybe he thought he could get away from the defenders and waste more time? He got away from Ginobli...you don't think he could get away from Robert Horry?

Horry's forearm is about as a "unnatural motion" as you'll get. I know when i want to foul a guy just to stop the clock, I don't stick my forearm out there as he's running by, I just grab him.

What is this "unnatural emotion" anyway? As far as I am concerned, whatever you guys will say, Stu Jackson will always be right on his verdict because it will be carried out whether you fans like it or not. PHX has risen from the ashes and won the game and SA lost, simple as that. What's there to talk about.

I say that as someone who took a 6 month break from here at one stage as I was getting too angry. Actually, that had more to do with general life...i ended up hitting a guy at a football game and busting his cheekbone clean open. (He was assaulting an old man over a seat, so I felt justified)

As the police came down though...I had one of those "WTF am i doing" moments in life. Thankfully it washed over. People need to have those "wtf" moments and change / calm down. Hopefuly DW Rutlelegde will realise that and come back. Same with Matrix (in his case, before he gets banned!)

I think you need medication...How can this place make you angry?
