Because the Pistons laid down, anyone who thought the JAzz would be first to clinch a conf. final bid would be in select company. I thought GS would get one more game in the Bay Area to protect from Bonds exposure but not to be.

I agree but he does have a point, if you say that you can go on the court to be a peacemaker then everyone would be out there claiming they were going out there to be a peacemaker and the more guys out there the more likely it is that something much worse will happen. Unfortunatly, due to the brawl in Detroit, there is no way they allow players to leave the bench to be peacemakers, another brawl that goes into the stands and the NBA will have even bigger problems then they already do.Comment

How many NBA championships has Don Nelson won? How many championships has Golden State won in the last twenty years? I think that Golden State this year is a lot like the LA Clippers last year. They had some success in the playoff but did not even make the playoffs in the next year.Comment

And his other main point: Steve Nash is how old? 33?
I think they'd have a better chance of winning NOW and not wasting all the money they spent on Nash with KG than they would with Nash and Amare.
Garnett may not be young, but he's not exactly old either. I think he's 28 or 29, right?
There is also no guarantee that they keep Amare beyond his current contract anyway in 5 years. It's not like KG would be a dinosaur by then anyway.
But all this goes out the window if they beat the Spurs, then beat the Jazz, and then go out and beat the Eastern Conference Finals winner.Comment

Isnt it amazing how music can alter a persons opinion on something? TNT shows an interview with Stephen Jackson and for some reason the music makes me want to feel sorry for the guy, lol.Comment

His rationale is that the Suns (if they don't win it this year) will probably always have to go thru San Antonio to win it and the other person who could effectively match-up with Duncan is KG.
