Jacking up threes in crunchtime is why teams like PHX and G.S. are at home right now. You go for the high% shot in that situation, IMO.

James put the game in the hands of a roleplayer...point blank, and if Brown called it, Brown is a freakin' idiot.

Still one point away from a triple double though, he still needs to take the last. Oh well.

Exactly. Just like in baseball, you always play for the win on the road. LeBron made the play that MJ, Bird, and most of the greats (playoff greats included) would have made. If he lays it in and they go on to lose in OT, then he makes an 'inexperienced decision'.

This shouldn't be the discussion here. It should be what the Cavs are going to do to get LeBron a better opprotunity to score in Game 2.

But it's a role player whose specialty is three point shooting. He probably could have made the layup but the three was a great look.

As much as I (and fellow Pistons fans) are ragging on him...Sheed had a pretty good game (at least statistically):

            15 points (7-13 FG...he only took two threes!), 12 rebounds, 7 blocks.

Sheed gets on my nerves with some of his decisions sometimes, but nice stat line tonight, 15 points, 12 rebs, 7 blks.

                Damn, Psy beat me.

Hmm, not much to be happy about besides the win. Like I said before I think this will be a tough series. Cleveland can hit the offensive glass, and the hard traps on Chauncey in the PNR takes them out of their offensive comfort zone. Hopefully they can adjust, but it's hard to adjust to that when they trap hard with size. Sheed was very active tonight, but lapsed at times. D carried them through. Hopefully they play better on Thursday. A win is a win though, and that's all that matters at the moment.

Well, as much as everyone is saying the Pistons had a bad game... just remember, so did LBJ overall. There aren't too many games that you can hold him to 10 points, and no foul shots.

I think this will be a great series. It's a coin toss in my mind, to who advances.

And Macca, while I can see where you're coming from... you're on the road. ALL coaches would make the decision to go for the 3. It's like a written rule in basketball, if you're at home, go for the tie, let your crowd carry you in OT. If you're on the road, you go for the win in regulation.

Overall, it was a tough game to lose, but if we put ourself in that position, i'll take that Marshall 3 anyday over a contested layup. He got hit on EVERY drive to the hoop. Am I complaining about the lack of calls? No.. not really. Why? Because it's playoff basketball. That's why. Bring your damn A game... and forget about the whining. Play the game. Good game Stones... see you in a few days.

Yeah pretty much, neither team scored over 85 points in that conference finals. And that's just fine if it ends like that season did.

Ya it did. They just couldn't score. The Cavs play tough D, but I would expect them to shoot better at home. They have to bring in for Game 2 cause I would expect LeBron to come out with a vengence.

If Marshall makes the shot, LBJ is looked like a hero to make that pass. I agree he should have gotten the two there or gone for it, but it wasnt a bad play by LBJ, not as much as everyone is making it to be.

No, it's not a bad play, because the passing lane and Marshall were completely open. I just don't think it's what they should have done.

                                Oh well, it doesn't matter.
